Kauffman Stadium, home of the Kansas City Royals, is a must-visit destination for any baseball fan. This stadium is one of the most iconic in the Major League Baseball, and it has a rich history dating back to its opening in 1973. From the unique architecture to the exciting game-day experience, there's a lot to love about Kauffman Stadium.
One of the first things you'll notice when you enter Kauffman Stadium is the unique design. The stadium features a striking water fountain display in the outfield, which has become synonymous with Royals baseball. The architecture of the stadium is also unique, with a futuristic look that sets it apart from other ballparks. The combination of the fountains and architecture creates a one-of-a-kind atmosphere that is hard to find anywhere else.
Once you're inside the stadium, you'll be blown away by the game-day experience. The energy in the stadium is palpable, and you can feel it from the moment you step inside. From the cheers of the fans to the crack of the bat, everything about the game is exciting. The stadium also features a large high-definition video board that makes it easy to follow the action on the field.
One thing that sets Kauffman Stadium apart from other ballparks is the food. The stadium offers a wide variety of concession options, from traditional ballpark fare to more gourmet options like pulled pork sandwiches and barbecue. The prices are also reasonable, especially for a Major League Baseball stadium. You can even find unique items like the "Royal Bacon Blue Burger," which is topped with bacon, blue cheese, and onion straws. Trust me, it's delicious!
Of course, the main event at Kauffman Stadium is the baseball game itself. The Kansas City Royals have a rich history, and they've had some incredible players over the years. Watching the game in person is a thrilling experience, especially when the Royals are playing well. The stadium has a seating capacity of over 37,000, so there's plenty of room for fans to cheer on their favorite team.
Overall, Kauffman Stadium is a fantastic destination for any baseball fan. The unique architecture, exciting game-day experience, and delicious food make it a must-visit destination. Whether you're a die-hard Royals fan or just looking for a fun day out with family and friends, Kauffman Stadium is the place to be. I highly recommend checking it out if you're ever in the...
Read moreLoved my experience at the stadium. I picked reserved parking, since I'm disabled, and parked a short distance from the main entryway. There are, of course, metal detectors as you go in, which, of course, required a manual wanding because of my leg braces. Staff was patient with my slowness, as were other patrons. I arrived at my seat in short order, under the shade of the left field upper deck.
The one issue I did have was a lack of handrails going down the steps, but I was able to sit in the upper row, since the crowd was small, one step down from the main concourse. In this way, I was able to enjoy the game without risking injury, since I don't handle stairs very well at all.
For a day game, left field is the way to go, especially if you're supposed to limit sun exposure. If you can tolerate the sun, right field and the outfield corners are optimal.
Concessions are card-only, now. If you brought cash, there is at least one machine, probably more where you can exchange cash for a preloaded card. Be prepared for that $10 souvenir drink cup. I had a very tasty footlong brat with mine. I did not see any vendors in the stands at this game, so be prepared.
The views at Kauffman are excellent, the fountains are very attractive, and the seating was pretty comfortable, and certainly more large adult friendly than those in the foul corner sections.
I used the MLB website to pay for parking, and the MLB Ballpark app to receive my ticket for parking and the game, I bought that on TickPick. It generates a "Live" QR code, so a screenshot is NOT accepted for parking or entry, don't even try.
I did accept a cart ride back out to my car at the end of the game. By then, I was gassed enough to need it, and numerous carts are available to accommodate disabled folks like me. If you need to call for one, a number is available on the Park's webpage. They can dispatch a cart to pick you up. I do appreciate this service.
There is room on the concourse for mobility scooters, and I saw elevators in the main entry that can get you to other levels.
I had fun. Research gave me what I consider to be an excellent experience, and I'll be sad to see them replace a fine facility with...
Read moreWent to a game tonight Royals versus Tampa Bay Ray's, spent over 450 dollars fot Crown Club. Had a great time as I hadn't been to a Royals game since 2003 vs SF Giants and before that was 3 games in 1987 versus the Orioles. Well this life long fan is not a fan of the Royals or baseball after a employee yelled at me, was very rude for no reason and even had other fans talking about the experience they seen me undergo just because I was going to take a picture of the KC Royals manager and the guy yelled no pictures when he seen i had my phone up to take one when the manager was going to the post game interview media press room, I immediately put my phone down to where it was obvious that I couldn't take a picture and then looked at the rude employee who said no pictures when no one else had their phone out and looked at me. Then he said that I needed to leave. I was wanting to take a picture of the American League Championships and World Series Championships years they won on the wall but went to the stairs cause of how he made me feel and the scene he caused in front of everyone by yelling and I didnt want to wait for the elevators after what he did, so while I was going up the stairs is when I heard other fans talking about how he yelled at me saying no pictures when they were a flight of stairs above me not knowing I was in the stairwell.
I can say I'll never be back and not be a fan of baseball if they treat their fans this way like they did me. I don't want to be associated with something like this.
wish I had asked the employees name or got him to calm down but he probably wouldn't have shared his name so I could report him and doubted I could've got him to call down when it was obvious when I didnt get a picture at all with how he...
