So many things to do and see here!

We came here to check out the opening of the Electric Park! A place to chill outdoors, eat small bites from the food truck (supposed to open at 2p but was really late Sunday), try the alcoholic snow cones, and perhaps take a swing or two on the swing set table! Dogs are allowed as long as they are on leashes.

There is more seating then is shown in the mock up of the place prior to it opening. Of note, no shade at certain times of days. Also, no table fans (like on the Housewives) or candles to keep the gnats, bees, & other flying pests, away. You can order alcohol prior to ordering food. Only drawback is if you haven't eaten, and your sitting in the heat, it may not be good for you, if the food truck is late. The other options is to pay for your drinks, and cool down on the third floor, at the Monogram Lounge for food! The Electric Park menu IS specific to them, esp the snow cones and some other drinks, as are certain foods.

We made our way into the sunroom. It was soooo much cooler in there, empty of people, and had a couple TVs in there. There was a nice breeze, comfy seating that made me fall asleep, and the perfect spot to eat your food bug free yet still enjoy the sights and sounds of outside!! One of the many places in J Reiger, that you can rent out!! Check w/them for pricing.

Hope you enjoy the overkill of photos and vids. Going up to the third floor and sliding down from the Monogram Lounge is always fun!!! But we had ridden that train before, so saved it for others :) Knuckleheads was off the chain Sunday so you could hear them loud and clear when you couldn't hear the music that was piped through small speakers through the park.

You def should check it out, even if it's just once! The experience is cool. Just remember, people did have quite a few dogs there so if you're not a dog person, chose your seating carefully. The swing set can be reserved and holds up to 8 people. Until the people come for their reservation, you are welcome to go sit at it!! One of the vids shows wooden seating and those have fire pits within them to keep nice and warm.

If you're going to wear white, and your sitting by the sign or along those benches, wipe that off because dirt from above and just being outside, will end up on your tush and not the bench! ALL the staff was super outstanding, bubbly, fun and easy to talk to, and extremely accommodating!! What are you waiting for? Go...

First and foremost, I must say that the experience of touring J. Reiger and Co's distillery was truly exceptional. From start to finish, the tour was informative, engaging, and immersive. Victor, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of J. Reiger and Co, as well as the history of Kansas City and its role in American whiskey production. He brought the tour to life with his enthusiasm and passion for the subject matter. Victor could answer any and all questions.

One of the most impressive aspects of the tour was the attention to detail and authenticity that J. Reiger and Co has put into their distillery. From the antique copper stills to the hand-crafted wooden barrels, every aspect of the distillery felt genuine and true to the company's history and ethos. Victor did an excellent job of explaining the various stages of the distillation process, from mashing to fermenting to aging, and how each step contributes to the unique flavors and characteristics of J. Reiger and Co's whiskeys.

After the tour, we had the pleasure of enjoying some phenomenal cocktails in the Lounge. The cocktails were expertly crafted, using J. Reiger and Co's own spirits, as well as locally sourced ingredients. The Lounge itself was beautifully designed, with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that made it the perfect place to relax and enjoy a drink.

Throughout the tour and the Lounge experience, I was struck by the importance of J. Reiger and Co's role in preserving and promoting Kansas City's history and culture. The company's commitment to using locally sourced ingredients and working with other local businesses is a testament to their dedication to their community and their desire to help promote and sustain the region's unique character.

Overall, I would highly recommend J. Reiger and Co's guided tour of their distillery in the East Bottoms of Kansas City. Victor was an outstanding tour guide, the cocktails in the Lounge were exceptional, and the attention to detail and authenticity throughout the entire experience was truly impressive. Whether you are a whiskey enthusiast or simply someone who appreciates good drinks and good company, this tour is not...

This isn't just a distillery; it's an experience, a true testament to Kansas City's burgeoning craft scene, and an absolute must-visit for anyone looking for a memorable outing. The classiness of the place is immediately apparent. The architecture, the decor, the attention to detail โ€“ everything speaks of quality and a refined aesthetic. Whether you're admiring the gleaming stills, wandering through the well-appointed gift shop, or settling into one of their comfortable seating areas, you feel a sense of relaxed elegance. And let's talk about the cocktails. Oh, the cocktails! Crafted with their exceptional spirits, each drink is a masterpiece of flavor and balance. The bartenders are true artisans, knowledgeable and passionate, able to recommend the perfect libation to suit your palate. This isn't just a place for a quick drink; it's an opportunity to savor expertly mixed concoctions in a setting that encourages lingering. Beyond the libations, J. Rieger & Co. also impresses with its culinary offerings. The food menu, while perhaps not extensive, is thoughtfully curated and perfectly complements their spirits. Whether you're looking for a light bite or something more substantial, you'll find delicious options that elevate the entire experience. What truly sets J. Rieger & Co. apart is the overall relaxing atmosphere. Despite its popularity, the space never feels overly crowded or chaotic. There's a comfortable buzz that encourages conversation and enjoyment. It's the kind of place where you can unwind after a long week, enjoy a leisurely afternoon, or celebrate a special occasion with friends. In short, J. Rieger & Co. is more than just a distillery; it's a destination. It's classy, the cocktails are exceptional, the food is delightful, and the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxing. For anyone visiting or living in Kansas City, this is an absolute must-visit โ€“ prepare to be charmed and leave planning your...
