Katy Play Station — Attraction in Katy

Kids - The best place to take your kids for some free, outdoor fun. The train area is huge so there’s a lot of running room to tire the little ones out for the night. And there’s a lot of shade over the seating area. Win-Win

I know this is for the “play station” but I just have a few more awesome details.

Men - There’s a basketball court right by the play station with some good competition.

Couples/Families - In the same area, there’s Mary Jo Peckham part that has fishing, miniature golf, a kids play area, large walking area that circles the pond and the ducks - that’s usually stocked with fish.

Church - We have our church picnic gear every year. You just have to reserve the pavilion.

Gym - There’s also a gym. You just have to sign up for a membership.

Lastly, did I mention that ALL of this...

I think this is a really neat, fun family place! My kiddos and I really enjoyed it here. For there to be live music outside, busy, not to mention the noise the service was great! If I could suggest improvement on the food though. I ordered the wings & they tasted like freezer burn both times they were sent back. The ranch dressing was amazing though! The loaded macaroni was not hot or flavorful at all. The brisket had the taste of being in the refrigerator for to long. Now the kids chicken strips meal was great! Fries had a great flavor & the strips were decent. Overall though the live music, the fire pits, heaters, the friendly staff made for a very pleasant first time...

You have to be on high alert here! Because the playground is too big, it is easy to lose sight of your little one, as is the case for a dad with his four-year-old. Everyone around we're looking for him. Dad was actively playing with him then we stopped seeing him. We all helped the dad and finally found the kid inside the tennis area crying. Dad was shaken up by what happened, but it could happen to anyone in this place, and with many people around, it's even scarier. I recommend two parents, one on each side, and high alert for sure. Overall it's an enjoyable place for kids, and I highly recommend it. The train theme is excellent, and the playground...
