My bf and I take our Maltipoo here every (or every other) weekend. We do enjoy it very much because it's never crowded and it's actually pretty quiet. However, and I know this is an off-leash park, we get annoyed as hell with dirty dogs coming up and trying to rough up our little less-than-10lb dog (we keep her on a leash). She gets anxious easily and it's frustrating trying to get her used to other dogs when the only ones coming up to her spend the whole time obnoxiously smelling her private parts or hassling her when she's clearly not interested in playing. I just wish owners would look out for their dogs a little better. We do take her to the little dog area, but it's really boring in there unless there are other people with calm, well-behaved dogs. Then it's enjoyable. Other than that we'd rather walk around and let our little one explore. I can't speak for the little... pond? Dogs seem to absolutely love it, but we don't let ours go in dirty water. Overall it's an awesome, relaxing place that is always...
Read moreMy girls LOVE this park. There is a nice pool, tons of space to run, plenty of shade trees. Dozens of squirrels who like to tease the dogs, a restroom, dog fountains, activity equipment, a papillion, probably 15 different benches in shady areas, and a covered dog wash area. It is never over crowded and all of the dogs are nice and I have never seen a tussle. There is also a decent size small dog side that has benches and shade trees too. Parking lot is small but never extremely over crowded. Lots of lush green grass. And there are drainage ditches that collect water and my dogs like to roll in that water too. Thank goodness for the wash station. There is a paved trail around the inside of the park that people walk for exercise and the shaded benches are perfect for reading and relaxing. I rarely see kids here unless they are walking with their parents. Grounds are pretty well kept and cleaned up. Right across the fence is Mary Jo Peckham park. Oh and it’s right next to the Katy PD and library.

Read moreThis park is pretty big. The dogs always have a good time. There is a little dog pool here so it's great for hot days. There is also a dog wash station inside the park which makes it convenient to rinse off your pups after they get in the pool or roll around in the mud, be sure and bring your own towels and soap because they don't provide that. There is a sectioned off small dog park but there will be the occasional lap dog running around the big park. This always makes me nervous because they could get trampled. It's not recommended to have your dog on a leash in the park just because it can injure them if another dog runs into it. Keep that in mind if your not comfortable with your dog being off leash then seek professional help to get them a little trained before you venture here. Aggressive dogs are not allowed in the park at any time and if your dog gets aggressive at any time they need to be removed if you can't control them properly. Common pet...
