HTeaO - Katy (D & Franz) — Restaurant in Katy

We are big HTeaO fans, but will likely avoid this location in the future. We ended up doing the drive thru (this was perhaps our mistake). The line took an incredibly long amount of time. There were 3 or 4 cars ahead of us and this should have been a clue. When we finally got to place our order the lady asked us to wait. She came back and I think we said our order 3 times. Maybe she could hear us? She obviously didn't know what we were talking about. We ordered an energy and said the flavor energy- she asked us twice and we had to explain in detail what we were talking about. If we weren't "locked in" to the drive thru, we would have left. We got up to pay and I tried to redeem points (another mistake). She clearly didn't know how to do it. I just tried to tell her to forget it. I don't know what she did. She says we earned drips. HTeaO has become our go-to for a tasty drink! The variety of flavors is fantastic, and the ability to mix and match lets you create your perfect drink. However, the drive-thru experience can be a bit unpredictable.

Sometimes it's perfect - quick service and delicious drinks made exactly as expected. But other times, the drinks are way off. Ice levels might be low, or the flavors might not be mixed correctly. For example, we ordered one of the limited edition Poppi drinks on a Friday and it was delicious. We went back on Saturday for another, and it was completely different - murky (instead of its usual transparent color), with minimal ice. It was a disappointing experience.

The drive-thru can also get quite backed up, which can be frustrating.

This spot has been such an incredible addition to the katy area! Whether you are wanting to do drive thru or walk in customer service is always to a teaa. Drive thru is always quick and easy, but if you have a bit more time in your day I will highly recommend going in. They have a row of varies tea flavors both sweet and unsweet, you can easily customize your drinks, with little cups to try out the tea as well, you have an area to add some cherries (which I LOVE), lemon, lime, and oranges for that citrus kick. A huge variety of healthy snack to grab, and if you want something sweet they also have some delicious cupcakes. I’m also a huge coffee drinker and their horchata coffeee, please give it a try...
