Not So Fun Farm Pumpkin Patch
Where to start....First I would like to mention my significant other and myself arrived here with another couple for a double date. We were greeted by Larry who charged us Two tickets for $60.00 just to enter the property, initially we were shocked at the price. But we were excited to get to experience the place for the first time. Here's the beginning, we arrived and paid for our tickets at 7:31 (as you can see in my picture). We were told by Larry we would be able to go through the corn maze, the last group would be able to go at 8:00 due to the patch closing at 9:00 pm on a Saturday (we were perfectly fine with this). Here's where the story gets interesting, The wagon arrives at 7:59, after we have been waiting for 28 minutes, which again was fine. When the driver shows up he said NO MORE Rides we can't go do the maze because they close in an hour. After we been informed of this, we were extremely disappointed, we decided okay that's fine we will walk back to the front and get a refund. We approach Larry and ask him for a refund, he starts to mention irrelevant information about prices being different if we paid online or something along those lines (we were being 100% cordial), and told him no that's not the issue, we just needed a refund, we along with approximately 40 other people waited for about 30 minutes to go through the maze and then were told we couldn't. Mind you this is after spending $30 a ticket. Larry then popped off out of left field and said "You guys were with them Oriental people right"?? First off that is completely irrelevant to our situation so why would he even bring ethnicity into this unless there's underlining racism. Second he called "Management", which this individuals name claimed to be "Megan". They proceeded to try to give us day passes. We told them we couldn't do this we would NOT be able to come back due to us being a good distance from this location, and on top of it our friends struggled to get a sitter to even go out with us tonight. We said that it would be unacceptable. This is one of our rare outings together. He was disgruntled, then reluctantly called the manager, who then decided to call "Security" up in some type of intimidation factor before the individual Megan would even show up. Eventually Megan shows up, extremely abrasive, as I said we were being cordial at this moment in time, all we wanted was our money back, we showed up for what they advertised and were unable to deliver, they were out no product just charged us to walk on their property. Megan then RAISED her voice, while acknowledging we all should of been able to go through the corn maze. She then Called the wagon driver on the phone to make an "Exception" for us be able to go through the maze. As the thought to try and rectify the situation sounds nice, she was completely nasty and acted completely put out as if we were being extremely toxic. the time was then 8:14, they previously said they don't do anything past 8:00 because they close at 9:00. So even if we were given the opportunity to go through maze by the time we would have arrived to it, it would have been 8:30 we would of been completely rushed. She then elevated her voice EVEN MORE, attacking the couple we were with, for calling her out for her aggression. She then said "WE GIVE NO REFUNDS". I'm like so you're literally scamming us, you charged us $60.00 to walk on the property for 10 minutes and wait another 20 minutes for something we were promised, which they didn't fulfill. I'm sure many other people can attest to this and they will as I said there were about 40 of us total being lied too. At this point we were beyond frustrated and just wanted to go. Megan then gave us the ultimatum repeatedly, and said "Either go on the wagon to the corn maze or leave, I'm NOT giving you a refund". The biggest issue with this whole situation is the the principal, the lack of Integrity and accountability along with poor etiquacy. Warning STAY AWAY, they will steal from you, and not rightfully give...
Read moreI really love Fun Farm. It is great to take the family to. The animals are always so friendly and playful. My kids love the chickens & turkeys that run wild. They enjoy chasing them. There is one chicken that is so sweet and actually let's you pick it up. It's pretty cool. This is such a fun place with little kids. The huge jumping thing is cool, and the kiddos seem to love jumping. The corn pit Is fun although I think they need a slide or something for kids in the corn pit. (I went to an awesome pumpkin patch in Iowa, and the corn pit had a couple big slides, and playground equipment. The kids all had an absolute blast.) I think that is something fun farm should look into adding in the future.
Pros: *So many things to do with kiddos *Everything is included basically in general admissions except the huge corn maze, food & pumpkins. *The PUMPKIN DONUTS are amazing! However, the price is expensive. (They are the mini donuts btw) *Pig races are so cute and run! *The animals that run wild like the chickens and turkeys are cute, and fun to chase. *The staff is all pretty friendly. *Parking is accessible *Walking distance isn't bad. *Food is good...for the most part. *The apple butter is AMAZING! *Plenty of seating /benches. *Port-a-potties and also a few actual bathrooms *Feed the animals (costs, but inexpensive) *Ride a pony *I can't even list all the Pros because this place is actually super cool. It's something you have to check out at least once Durning the season!
Cons: *Pig races don't go on during week day *Alot of things are not open on week day, just weekend *Price is so expensive. It's $12.95 for something for one person, (2 years & older.) Per person. That only includes the basic admissions. *They do not offer family passes which I absolutely hate, because my kids and I love going here. *You must pay full price for a TWO year old. *If you go to the corn pit (which you absolutely have to) you will most likely be finding corn in your house for the next week.. at least. Haha 😂 *Pumpkins are slightly over priced. *I wish they would keep everything open during the week, especially the pig races. At least once a day or something. My kids love the pig races.
Fun Farm Please ADD: *some playground equipment in the Corn Pit, like big slides, etc. More shovels and buckets, and things for kids to play with (with the corn) if that makes sense. A family pass for the general admissions. (2-3 kids & 2 adults or something) *Make the cost of kids or under 5 admissions cheaper. $12.95 per kid is a little pricey. *PLEASE PLEASE MAKE A FAMILY GENERAL ADMISSIONS PASS FOR NEXT YEAR!! WE WOULD LOVE IT AND SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE WOULD TOO!! *Also it would be awesome if you all opened on the weekends in September!! That would be amazing!!
Thank you Fun Farm! We always have a good time! For all reading this review I highly recommend fun farm. Your kiddos will have a blast and I'm sure you...
Read moreI came here last year for the first time with my son and then returned just this past Sunday. While I really like this place and there being plenty of things to do, it can really be an all-day family affair, there is 1 thing that stands out to me and question my return for future years. I find it very odd and frustrating that kids are only free up until the age of 1 and then 2 and up pay the same price as a regular ticket. I understand there is a lot of activities there for kids to play on and explore, but to have a 2 year old have a ticket cost $32 is a little overboard. Because that also raises the concern for how much easier of an age that is to lie about age so some pay for their kids to get in and then you have some that are untrustworthy. I think kids tickets should be like half or something from a regular adult ticket. The second thing is, when we were there on Sunday and we were paying for the pumpkins, we asked the cashier a few questions, just to clear the air about a few things we encountered. Neither me or the person that was with me were being rude or disrespectful towards this cashier. Some simple basic questions about admissions, and I am going back and forth with my friend about the situation and this cashier sort of snaps at us with a rude tone and snappy and said "I am just a 17-year old cashier, there is nothing I can do, the best thing I can do is call for a manager and have you talk to them. So do you want them or not." While VIA a comment does not show tone or emotion, this was a sly comment for no reason. We were not trying to cause any issues, just had a few minuet questions. The manager on the other hand was so sweet and wanted no conflict at all. Offered to let us take something/ anything, under the sun you can think of, home for free as a sorry for the inconvenience of everything and misunderstanding from the website. Again I will keep saying, none of this was ever an issue, just mainly wanted the breakdown of something to make sure we got charged right, and we did. We did not want to take something from a business, because I know to many discounts, packages/bundles, or promotions, can sometimes in the long run be detrimental to a business. Things like a free ticket for the next time, free drink or free shirt (etc), are there for solutions to a problem. But we never had an issuer until that cashier. The manager wanted to make sure we left contempt with...
