As a small business owner, I know the challenges and stress that go along with it, but when you choose to participate in a community event such as the Halloween celebration last week, you could have interacted professionally and friendly with the children. But that is not what I encountered.
Standing in front of a small bowl of candy, arms folded, and not speaking to adults or children as they stopped by was a disappointment to say the least. I was interested in your shop until I saw how you were almost avoiding any type of interaction.
Why participate? This was a great opportunity for you to interact with the community, yet you chose not to; a missed opportunity to say the least.
I hope if you choose to participate in future community events that you try to make it a better experience for those stopping by your shop. There were businesses that made it fun for the kids, interacting, asking about costumes, etc., and then talking to parents/adults.

Or of course, just not participate at all. It was about the kids that evening and making a good impression as a small...
Read moreI was just walking by this adorable shop one chilly evening as I was grabbing a takeout order from next door, and I am so glad I popped in. Really it was the owner, Heather's, amazing gift of stylizing that piqued my interest and made me open the door and walk in. What an amazing curation of clothing, shoes, accessories and decor at fabulous prices although everything there is top tier. I literally walked in there with a hot takeout order in my hand and just could not stop browsing. Heather is very good at creating a very high-end boutique feel but keeping the prices reasonable. I ended up leaving with a vintage Timbaland scarf, a pair of boots, and a necklace and had tons of fun trying on Heather's gorgeous custom hats. I'm a city slicker but I wanted every cowgirl hat and pair of boots, sweater, duster, cardigan kilim pillow, and turquoise jewelry that I saw. Heather was a vision in a pastel Southwest pattern jacket and looked amazing in all of her custom hats. The place has a very "Peruvian Connection" vibe if you are familiar with that clothing catalog company. But Heather's pieces are less than a fraction of the price. I really enjoyed shopping and browsing here and talking with Heather. I will stop by for sure the next time...
Read moreLuxe Exchange is such a great business add for our small town community! Heather, the owner, is such a sweet person and has an incredible eye for fun and fashionable clothing. Her ability to curate collections of trendy, gently used designer clothing is a unique treat to any other retailer or apparel store. This store gives a vibe of an upscale boutique and makes me feel like I'm snagging a one-of-a-kind item. I will be a frequent visitor to see what's new! Highly recommend you swing by if you have 10...
