St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church — Attraction in Kearny

Exquisitely historical cathedral that’s absolutely gorgeous inside & out! Just like the churches you visited as a small child…it’s a phenomenal romanesque basilica style Roman Catholic Cathedral...one the likes of which you will not find anywhere else in New Jersey…it’s comparable in style, size & build to the more famous cathedrals in New York City. Luckily we are fortunate enough to have it here in Kearny, New Jersey to enjoy. I absolutely love attending mass here as it is a house of God but you can’t deny the sheer pleasure & amazement of the architecture. The beautifully created & intricate designs include; all original handmade stained glass windows, oversized magnificent engraved statues sculpted from solid marble, stunning vaulted ceiling & archways, gorgeous handcrafted woodwork...and so much more. This cathedral is an architectural jem with enough detailed construction & beauty to keep anyone engrossed...

I have to say, I do not know how they don't charge for you to attend service. The Music is phenomenal. The service under Father Joseph Mancini and crew is GREAT. The HOLIDAY SERVICES have a great choir and more than an organist, a full band with trumpet, violin... TRULY Amazing. I Highly recommend The Saturday 5pm Mass, the Sunday 7pm Mass or EVERY HOLIDAY MASS, Especiall Christmas...
