Memoir Coffee Bar — Restaurant in Kearny

This was our first experience at this cafe. Trying to support small businesses in my town. I ordered scrambled eggs with bacon. To start my "scrabbled eggs" were not scrambled they looked sunnysde up. When I got my plate and told them I ordered scrambled she dead serious said it was. They looked like they were done in a microwave but that I can't confirm. I regret not taking a picture. All my life a scrambled egg is all yellow this was literally a sunny side up egg, you can tell there was no effect put into actually scrambling it. The bacon didn't look fresh. I didnt see they had a kitchen so thats why I wondered how they cooked it. Anyway when I got my smoothie, I will say I should of asked it with water as I am lactose intolerant but I forgot to mention it but they also did not ask how I wanted it. However the girl behind the counter looked straight into my face and said that she did ask me how I wanted it, "Whole Milk, Skim" etc. Sorry if I would of been given the options it would of clicked on me. I am not mad that she didn't mention it I was mad she lied to my face just because her boss or coworker was there. No lady you did not ask how I wanted my smoothie. Only your concern was what size. They were not rude at all but to me lying is disrespectful. Anyway never will I go...

I am a big foodie.

The difference in my book between a standard food and beverage business and a quality one is you can taste and tell who takes time, precision and care into the food or beverages made vs a business that just slaps ingredients together just to make what the customer asks for and process a transaction.

Same can be said about customer service as well. Little things like the specific questions the employee or business reps asks, plus a genuine human attitude / interaction goes a long way. This compliments the model of truly caring for what the customer asks for not simply vanilla giving them what they want.

The Design of the cafe has a nice peaceful chill vibe that is another pro.

I have been a customer to this cafe for a while. I have to say, the staff here serves with such excellence. Every time I go with my family, we are well taken care of, our server works in such gladness, makes us valued as customers, attentive on how we are served. Clean environment, relaxing music, the coffee and milkshakes are done on point. I am just very grateful to have gone there from the beginning. Diana you are amazing, how you trained the girls as well to exceed as to how you serve and value us as your customers as well is very much appreciated.
