Interesting piece of history. Sad that the petroglyphs have not been protected and the weather has worn them down to almost nothing. There is a sketch of what the markings looked like when they were first discovered. But it is very hard to make out the images now. The rock is under a roof. But not much else to protect it. I was so happy to finally get the visit this historic landmark. However I was disappointed to find that the petroglyphs have been mostly eroded away. Some petroglyphs could be made out faintly. I am so sad that the preservation of this history has not been taken very seriously. Surly it is a fine example of Native American culture slipping away from us. The building around the inscription rock is very exposed to the outside elements. I was grateful to see the plaque had the original...
