Bixler Lake Park — Attraction in Kendallville

I loved going here. I went here alot when I lived in Kendallville. I fished here a lot from the bank a kayak and a bass boat. Caught my biggest bass from this lake. Also caught several pike. At one time the state record for biggest pike was caught from this lake. I also walked and rode my mountain bike on the trails. I never camped at the campground. This is a beautiful park with many mature trees, a level paved sidewalk, tennis courts, and a playground. There's also a very nice veterans memorial, a covered shelter, a disc golf course and a swimming area. Benches are placed along the path near the water, and there's a lovely little gazebo towards the quieter end of the park.
