This was our first visit to The Apple Festival at the Kendleville Fair Grounds. Our parking space was close to the main pavilion which had many vendors and also had live entertainment of 3 talented men with fantastic voices and musical skills! We found the ice cream barn and shared a cup of vanilla and apple cider ice cream which was delicious. We also tried a humongous cornbread sandwich which was loaded with delicious corn beef! Lastly we bought Apple Fritters from a local Lutheran Church booth to take home with us. Read moreThe fairground is a good venue and place for small events. However, with the Apple Fest getting bigger there needs to be a different layout for parking and for vendors to spread out to help with crowd control. I think the Apple Fest could get bigger and add more vendors if there is an option to expand out to where some of the parking was this year. I believe we could use some parking lots at stores and other places and then shuttle people. I think it could bring more revenue in. Read moreIt has lost its glory! No rides no 4h kids &animals of their heyday. It was as if a ghost asked you for your soul to walk down midway. Who is in charge? Your choking out normal vendors w/ your fees. No one has 25% of their income to book a spot on your lost cause. You can not milk out those kids for your money.
