We've come to this park a couple of times with our dog. Seeing how the sign says dog friendly, we thought this would be a good place to walk around. They have a fishing dock, place to swim, a place for boat launching, a round about walk way, not so clean picnic area with cover and the playground. Unfortunately I had a bad experience here that has left me annoyed with the lifeguards on two different days. First time we were walking around the dock and the lifeguards said nothing. They smiled at my dog and said hi. We passed by another man and his dog on the dock. Thought it was alright since no one was saying anything. My dog enjoyed looking out at the water. That's all she was doing. Second time we come back on a different day, we get yelled at that no dogs are allowed on the dock or the beach. When I told the guy that the other day no lifeguards had stopped me or talked to me, he just kept repeating himself. He was certainly nice about it, but I was already annoyed that there is no signs anywhere about dogs on the docks. Not even the big sign upon entering says this. Nada. Make some freaken signs! So this place is dog friendly to a degree. I swear if the next time I come here and the lifeguards don't stop a guy and his dog from walking on the dock, I'll be mad. Besides that the park is kept clean for the most part however there was an arson back in June to the public restrooms so there are temp bathrooms near the picnic area and there are a few questionable people walking around. They have a right to be there, just very shady is all. For the few times we've come here, parking hasn't been a problem. Great place for activities since they have a big field but be careful where you step. Lots of duck poop. It's a decent park to enjoy a good...

Read moreThis park is awesome and it’s on- you guessed it-a beautiful lake! We took our Grandchildren there to fish. The man and his family next to us caught 6 perch. Unfortunately the babes didn’t get any this time. There are docks for your water crafts, I saw many people on paddle boards. People were swimming. There are covered areas you can rent out for your outdoor parties on the City website. There are all kinds of places to walk your dogs too. There is a sandy public beach area to hang out on as well as some large outdoor green spaces. Hang out on the docks, fish, or just take in some fresh outdoor air or swim in the roped off area. There are even some benches on the docks to sit on. The kids play park is updated with the new turf that’s bouncy in case the children fall down and they have a big ship climbing play structure and swings. Th bathrooms are clean and fresh and well taken care of. The lake allows motorized boats and jet skis. There is wake limits in certain areas and speed limits. This is a great place to go! Check it out...
