Boone Woods Park is probably one of coolest local parks that we have visited! This park literally has everything: trails, 2 playgrounds, multiple shelters for picnicking, tennis courts, pickleball courts, basketball courts, disc golf, etc. We parked by the front playground, which is a more traditional play area, and stayed there for a bit. We then hiked back to the second playground which has a rope climbing area, swings and two really cool merry-go-round gravity seats. We spent almost 2 hours here and we didn’t even touch any of the courts or go deep exploring on the trails. The park is well maintained and clean. Great job Boone County Kentucky on this hidden delight! We will be back for sure to go deeper into the trials, have a picnic and play a game of pickleball!

This was one of our favorite parks but I'm sad they removed the upper smaller play ground. There isn't much up there left but swings and few things to play on. That was our favorite spot at this park so we left after being there all of 5 minutes. Someone drove thier car back to the frisbee golf part where the bathroom and shelter is. That was dangerous as there were pets and kids over there. I don't think we will be back because of the frisbee golf addition it's much more loud and people running around everywhere. It's just not worth the aggravation when your trying to have a nice peaceful lunch and walk in a park.

We love this park! Wide variety of activity areas and walking. We visit here all summer during their Friday night kid-friendly movie nights on a big projector screen. Popcorn and sodas are provided along with games and a bouncy house and slide before the movie starts at dusk. You bring your own blankets, comfy chairs, and kids to enjoy Family Movie Nights.

Don’t get hit by a frisbee disc! Avoid play area in the back by the swings because I got injured their I had a freak accident on the 1st by the swings. I was injured by a random person playing frisbee disc golf. I now have a concussion and nasal fracture. I am still healing.wasn’t even playing frisbee disc golf! I was at the swings where the fort area use to be, with my 6 year old child, that could have been him that got hurt and it would have been worse for him, glad it wasn’t him. Please be careful if you go stay away from the frisbee disc area by the swings for sure I was just standing watching my child swing but, turns out there’s a frisbee disc basket near by and who would think you would get a concussion and broken nose just standing there doing nothing. Didn’t know there was a basket there haven’t been there in over a decade. Perhaps take the basket down or put a net up to prevent further injuries of another child or an adult such as my self! Figured I warn people what are the chances of that even happening? Rare probably but found articles that’s it’s happened elsewhere in...

We play tennis many times a week there....Insofar as courts are concerned they are probably the best in Boone County but that's not saying much; weeds are growing up from a multitude of cracks and crevices, some weeds spreading onto the court it makes them appear as if the zombie apocalypse did occur. Net straps are missing parts and tied together and a couple of the courts have fault lines running thru them that would rival San Andreas.... However the Volleyball court, which no one visits, looks pristine....?

Edit: the courts looks worse than ever 10 months after the review. Same bad nets, same cracks and trash on courts along with mud, spilled liquids that stick like flypaper and chunks of cracked asphalt on the courts. The YMCA uses the park across the road as a daycare pickup so there's screaming kids and heavy traffic as parents pick up their kids from the playground...this is from 3 or earlier u til 6. These kids run through the courts leaving their garbage, etc as they visit the restroom. Really ridiculous. This is all Boone county has to offer insofar as tennis...
