Flat Rock Park — Attraction in Kerrville

Wondrous place to take photos! Beautiful location to walk along the river, a fabulous view! Parking can be found anywhere, dirt paths to park by the water in deep shade from phenomenally large trees! Ive watched families bring a portable barbecue and fix lunch... Trees roots can be seen growing into the river, there's even a rope being and a tire swing hung on 1 of the trees! Great place to go kayaking, and a free public ramp too. They've got a couple of port a potties, so you can have some privacy when nature calls. Open places for flying a kite or throwing a ball around, trees along the bank when you're fishing, and friendly folks all around you. My son found a little "honey" spot just off the main part of the river...first cast, 30 seconds later, Wham, fish on!!
