It is very cool and has a lot of information on the history of Kewanee, IL. It has Abraham Lincoln's lantern he used while on his visit to Kewanee. I'm going to have to go back. There is 2 and a half floors of artifacts, tools, brochures, maps, photos and much more having to do with the history of this very old town. This is a great town to live in and to visit. The area has a lot of old cool and historic towns, buildings and that. Friendly workers at this museum. Said hello and asked if I was looking for a certain part of the history. Read moreMany thanks to Larry and his wife for opening up the historical society while my family made attempts to locate our relatives. Larry was a great help with providing information regarding the Zabel/Gunther family. This was a wonderful experience and the historical society was a great resource. Our great great grandfather Charles Zabel was in Kewanee and a wagonmaker that came up to Faribault Minnesota. Two of the Zabel's women married Gunther men and started Peter Pump factory. We would not have found this out had not it been for Larry opening up on a day they were closed. Much appreciated...
