My family and I just checked out, and after reading some of these horrible reviews, I’m honestly in awe and I just had to share my thoughts and experience. I was there to witness firsthand the so-called “chaos,” and it’s very clear that the negative reviews are coming from people who simply didn’t get their way. Resorts have policies, restrictions, and rules for a reason. When those weren’t in their favor, they are clearly trying to create their own narrative here. For one, we had some friends come visit us who were staying at the holiday inn and had absolutely no issue at all.
For example, some things we witnessed were the kids in that group were being rude and throwing trash everywhere. That’s just one of many red flags I had seen. Things escalated so badly that the police had to be called for whatever reason. I even saw a woman on a jet ski take off with three kids, clearly trying to hide from the authorities which was just pathetic and endangering children.
Some reviewers even claimed they were “discriminated against,” which I find shocking and impossible to believe. The staff at Keys Palms were nothing but kind, professional, and helpful with every question and concern we had. Seeing the behavior of these individuals firsthand confirmed for me that the issue wasn’t the resort it was the people trying to justify their own actions.
With that being said, I want to highlight how BEAUTIFUL this property truly is. The amenities are excellent, the location is unbeatable, right on the water and everything was well-kept. it’s a clean, safe, and well-run resort with a gorgeous setting, Keys Palms was amazing and definitely booking...
Read moreOverall, we very much enjoyed our 3-night stay at Keys Palms. The location is excellent, well within walking distance of nice restaurants, and it is by far the best-maintained and cleanest RV resort we've been to. The staff is constantly raking, sweeping, and every 2 hours collecting trash. We watched the sunset from our spot (#14) one evening (which was spectacular, by the way) and the next morning the sand area had been raked. The pool area was very nice, as is the small marina. Yes, it's a small park, but our spot was spacious with a nice paver patio and adjacent sand area, and with the tall shrubbery, nice and private. Finally, a shout out to Alba in the office. She does a great job, at times in the face of trying circumstances (see issue #1 below).
Why a rating of 4 stars instead of 5? Three reasons: 1) When we arrived we were informed that our spot had been changed, which by itself is no issue and is clearly discussed in the agreement terms. But, the new spot was $30 more per night and we hadn't been informed of the change beforehand. We understand from other campers that this is a normal practice at Keys Palms. 2) The new spot (again, #14) was nowhere near level - perhaps the worst we've experienced, and certainly not fitting of a "luxury" RV park. It took 4" of blocks on the right rear and 2" on the right front to not lift the wheels off the ground. 3) the sewer lift station is between spots #14 and #15, and from time to time we could smell it. It was a very minor...
