Jami has created a place where everyone is welcome and made to feel special. Sidney is extremely friendly and timely with responding and can help with everything. All the different casting directors, stage managers, choreographers, and musical directors are so good about giving new comers a chance and opportunity to shine! They have a way of pulling out the confidence and personality of those shy kids and making them shine. They keep the love of theatre and acting alive in them! This place has given my kids a safe haven to hone their skills, learn new things like tech, and even teaching my 12 year old how to do cashiering. It’s a place kids can get their community service hours and volunteer work at. My kids have a tight knit friends group from here where all the kids accept everyone- no matter what! I personally am grateful to this place for everything they have done. Michelle keeps that place clean despite having 50 kids there every week during the children’s shows! They have a concessions and bar for donations only that is fully stocked and the volunteers are extremely nice and friendly! It’s the only theatre I know that puts on a full jam packed year of productions! The children’s shows are also totally free to be in- which is almost unheard of. I’d encourage everyone to support this local community theatre! This year is its 50th anniversary and with local support- it can be open another 50 years! This next seasons line up is going to be so much fun! Definitely check out the web site to see what they are doing and how to get involved! Fresh faces are always welcome! I’m just a parent with kids there but I’ve seen the impact it’s had on them the last 6 years we’ve been here and I just felt compelled to write this review because I feel that every kid and adult should...
Read moreAttended The Nutcracker last night. The performance was wonderful. The audience was HORRIBLE. Has this town lost its collective mind? A parent in the back row was allowing her LOUD, DISRUPTIVE 2-year old to yell and scream for most of the show. She didn't care that her child was ruining the show for all in the theater. She could have hustled the kid out to the lobby, but her desires superseded everyone else's. A family of yahoos sat behind my wife and me. The father was acting like he just pulled in from a rodeo, making loud comments and actually WHISTLING during the entire show. It's a noble task to try to bring class to a classless town. Does the management even try to encourage or enforce...
Read moreI took my family to see the Nutcracker Ballet and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The theatre was very well kept and they offered concessions to enjoy popcorn, sodas, coffee, adult drinks, candy, and had an area with production sales items. They had raffles for Christmas. The only note I have to get to seating I didn't notice any ramps inside. All I saw was steps, not a huge amount, but those with mobility issues or strollers like myself it did make that more interesting to navigate. Also the seats are old school theater style so they fold up in place, arm rests don't move, and slightly narrow, but not uncomfortable. In all very enjoyable out and plan to return for...
