Copper Mountain Library — Attraction in Killeen

We’ve recently moved to the area and since my 4year old is doing a lot better reading we decided to get library cards so my husband and i can get books for him. I’m giving it a two star because of its close proximity to our house other than that I would have given it a one star. It’s a bit much to have 6 people working at a library don’t you think?? Not only that but 6 people and not one of them even acknowledge me and my son standing there . The two ladies one in red and the other in the orange watch us walking towards the desk and just ignored us. So we walked all the way around and still no one said anything. Disappointed in this place. I've been to so many different libraries across the United States, with different sizes (and budgets,) and Killeen's libraries stand out only because they are not kid friendly. Currently the only activities they are offering for children is story time and movies. Adults have coloring time, game night, and craft time. Y'all are librarians. You get paid to make the library a magical and educational place. You're supposed to be creative and care about your community. It's pitiful, what little work you are doing to offer children a place to grow and learn. Utilize people in the community, see if a professional would be willing to do a fun presentation. Today I went here usually, I have a good experience but idk what was wrong with the black lady with the curly hair at the front today. The lady from story time was helping me and because she was a familiar and friendly face I did ask her most of my questions which she politely answered. I gave her my books to return and she handed them to the curly headed black lady. The curly headed black lady then attempted to whisper to her , “ why is she only getting help from you , there’s other people here” She never even acknowledged me when I walked in nor took her face away from that computer so I assumed she was busy.
