The spark is fairly big considering it has a limited amount of parking spaces. It has a decent walking trail that goes all the way around the park, the biggest problem as far as the walking trail, is that the city does not keep up with its cracked and busted pavement everywhere.
When you first start it's a normal Trail going around what little bit of trees are there, then it goes into the partially paved and gravel walkway and or bike way. The ground is very uneven through many parts of the walking trail if someone like me that has bad ankles, it makes it difficult to walk safely.
There is a football field in the center, a baseball area, and a soccer area. One of the biggest drawbacks to the city park, is that there are no public restrooms available, unless the Center building is actually open.
I really believe that the city should put at least in two different locations on either side porta johns for in case someone is there walking and needs to go to the restroom, I don't think that is right for a public area to have locked restrooms especially considering people or their on the weekends and sometimes later in the evening and have no access to go to the restroom if...
Read moreGreat! Just great! My kids (1.5, 4, &5.5yrs old) loved it!!! There's something for all ages and even handicapped. Some unique things that aren't at every playground was...A wheelchair swing and a large adult sized swing that has a five point buckle. :) Very fun. Only downside I experienced was a lack of view... By that I mean I couldn't always see all 3 of my kids. I stuck with my youngest while the older two wondered from thing to thing. So if you're more of a cautious type, I don't think you'd feel comfortable here unless you were able to come with fellow mom friends for extra eyes around the playground. :) There are fences up but not that completely surround the play area, so if you have a child prone to wonder, not the park for you either. :( Overall, great park for most...
Read moreThis is a very nice park. Very diverse options for kids of all ages, skills and abilities. The bathroom is a bit of a hike away, which isn’t a deal breaker to me, but I can imagine it may be inconvenient for people who have a harder time getting around or even in the summer when you drink more water and need to visit the bathroom more often! This park is about 40 minutes from our house but it’s well worth the drive! Great walking track and all around well...
