What a gem this bakery is! We're so grateful the owner decided to open in our small town. We will definitely be supporting this local business.
The decor and vibe is inviting, warm & welcoming. As is the owner & employees!
Spacious inside, plenty of seating if you'd like to stay and enjoy a baked good with a delicious hot drink. Their cappuccino and lattes are divine!
Everything consistently looks amazing! Giant cinnamon buns and whoopie pies, large slices of 3 layer cakes, cheesecake slices, beautiful croissants, and so much more.
I have to avoid gluten entirely. But let me say ... Hailey Bakery offers DELICIOUS gluten free options!
I got a gluten free vanilla cupcake with cinnamon-vanilla frosting, a perfect balance of sweetness and flavor. The gluten free chocolate cake with a rich luscious chocolate frosting is my favorite. It's moist and tender, you would never know it was gluten free!
We love their cream puffs (gluten free as well). They're priced extremely well and absolutely overflowing with pastry cream, and you can choose if you want chocolate drizzle on top or not.
The gluten free lemon almond torte is also a home run. I like it because it's a little less sweet than other options, pairs well with a cup of coffee.
They offer a consistent rotation of gluten free baked goods, so check in regularly.
TIP: If you can't find parking on Main St in front of bakery, there's a small driveway right next to Hailey Bakery's building, in between hers and the bldg next door....that leads to a big gravel parking lot behind the building (along the RxR tracks). You can park back there & walk around the the front of the bldg to the front door entrance. This is good for anyone who can navigate a dirt walkway with some holes & puddles, but not good for...
Read morePlease note the hours. Only open Thur-Sat. Came Mon about noon. Closed. My fault but who would think... I love to support small business but this isn't a prescription for success. Plus, with downtown sprucing up, parking is becoming impossible. Owner needs to go to a Council meeting and petition for better downtown parking. 2 more new business coming in. Only will get worse. If I happen to roll by and can park, I might go in but certainly not inclined to go a even bit out of my way. If they're not that eager to make it, I'm not that motivated. I've owned a bakery in the past. It's much tougher than you think. Need to be there every day. But easy in / easy out parking can literally make it or break it. I'm telling you, it's a...
Read moreI prefer this style of bakery to over saturated with sugar style of bakery if you know what I mean. There is a lot more variety here and thoughtful preparation. The vibe is chill and there are hot tea and coffee drinks. I think this is a welcome addition to downtown King which needs to keep people downtown and in King with their dollars.I am not a fan of their cinnamon rolls but I have enjoyed other products from the bakery. I will be back and will hang out there with friends and family. If you can't park in front there is parking on the side streets and a whole parking lot less than a 1/4 mile down the street. Parking is not an issue. They aren't that busy and King is certainly not a...
