This has always been a must see place on a long trip through the state for interesting finds and delicious fudge. This is the first time I brought my daughter, so I wanted her to see everything. I was extremely disappointed and embarrassed to see a very small but visible section of Confederate flag merchandise toward the back. Some pieces with no possible claim of "heritage" or whatever people say. Also, one of us stated the bathroom stall door didn't have a lock so people looked through or under to see if it was occupied because it appeared unlocked/available - also, getting pushed in on accident. There were many great items to choose from. Read moreThis place is not for me. I try not to judge others by what they like, but sometimes I can't stop myself. I have never seen so much cockamamie crapola in one place in my life. Solid knickknacks, tchotchkes, geegaws, gimcracks and hillbilly souvenirs enough to choke the Clampetts. They even have figurines and wind chimes that would be perfect for my garden. Not tiny, dinky, little wind chimes but a huge selection of all the sounds to soothe and relax you whether you're indoors or out.
Did I mention the chocolate and the fudge? Because THE CHOCOLATE and THE FUDGE. I'll be honest, I wasnt expecting as much variety as they had which only served to make my choice of one (yeah, just one) fudge and one chocolate treat that much more difficult. But, their Sea Salt Chocolate Caramels are fabulous and the fudge I had was Tiger something (forgive my memory) that tastes like chocolate and mild, smooth peanut butter. Go ask them for it - you won't be...
