Attended the Christmas event! Probably the coolest thing ever!! So many awesome costumes and displays. Tons of artists and living action of the 1800’s. The staff were awesome so knowledgeable and kind. The Yule log burning was so special. The gentleman that led it was so good and I had just a blast. Totally worth waiting the two months since I discovered this event.

Beautiful farm setting. We visited the Exchange Place for a school field trip. The kids got to see donkeys, horses, pigs, chicken, and sheep. We had fun and went on a hay ride. We learn a lot about outdoors, plants, pollinators, and growing veggies. The staff was very kind and knowledgeable. It was a beautiful fall day and the perfect place to enjoy it.

Went for a field trip. The true stories about the exchange place are very interesting. As well as how well preserved Everything is. The kids attended school in the 1851, wrote their names with chestnut ink & feather pens & made candles. Have also been to funfest there. It's a fun educational trip.

Was there for the plant sale. Didn't realize there were crafts vendors as well - was expecting plants galore... there were plants but not like I was hoping for - this was ok. I was putting a few flowers into a straw carrier and a man selling the Calibrachoa came up to me and was very intrusive, very rude. He told me to stop pulling the pots apart... (I have been buying and planting these very hardy flowers for decades - haven't harmed one yet.) I put each one back - wouldn't buy from this guy if he was the last person with flowers on earth! & his little pots were $5.00 a piece. We went down to a local garden spot about 15 mi away - found super healthy Cala-b. for $3.25 ea!! Meant to be!! So, Thanks to the extremely rude vendor that charges way too much for his plants for being unprofessional, accusatory & just way out of line. All in all - he made us feel so unwelcome we didn't even peruse the other vendors' wares. We...

This is the most disappointing trip we've ever taken since we got to Tennessee. We drove for an hour to go see this living museum and only to find a sign on the gate that says sorry we're closed for the season come back another time. Asked a couple of the locals across the street when they were going to be back in season and they said that they had closed permanently for Corvid 19 and they had no idea when it was going to open again. I think it's really sad that people cannot update their website or the Google for it said they're open every Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Even if you had tried to call their number, that wouldn't have helped because nobody was there to answer it. Very disappointed probably won't go back seems like there's no...

Take your family and have fun. Open throughout the year, but they have seasonal festivals. Buildings from the 1800's as it would have been when settlers stopped to exchange horses and currency as well as buy goods on their journey west. Recreations of activities and games, etc. that would have been done/played at that time. Usually have live music and craft/food vendors during festival weekends. Livestock and vegetable garden. Blacksmith and General store. Run by volunteers who are very knowledgable and dedicated. Kids adore going here. Small entrance fee for adults (kids free). Funfest summer festival is...
