When budgeting for groceries with a $35 monthly allotment, ALDI is a great resource, especially for dairy, juice, and eggs. Their meat prices are also low, but I rarely prepare fresh meat because I cannot afford it and tend to favor canned goods in that regard. The low ratings seem to center around bad experiences with other customers or the condition of the store. Customers are not part of the business itself, so rating a business based on who goes to that business is ignorant. As far as stocking goes, the shelves are high because they are stocked using the boxes in which the items are shipped. This saves time and money, and those savings are passed down to customers accordingly. Yes, you have to use a quarter to borrow a cart, and yes, you have to buy bags or use boxes if you do not take your own. This is how many grocery stores are beginning to operate, and doing these things teaches customers to take some responsibility. If you can't take responsibility, you don't need to be shopping for groceries and should probably get someone to do it for you. Instacart is a thing, but it will cost you more than buying...
Read moreI am so unimpressed with this particular Aldi. We moved from out of town and I loved the other 2 Aldis I had gone to there. This is one is ALWAYS horribly stocked- I put my things back and left today because it was so barren. Why shop here if I have to go out of my way to make additional stops to get things like broccoli and strawberries lmao (yes they were out of both today). Sadly it was like that the two other occasions I went as well. Hardly any seasonal food items, there are always racks of stock that I guess are supposed to be put up but instead they leave them unmanned in the aisle to cause traffic jams. I’m not sure if it’s management or what. The layout of the parking lot and traffic flow is awful and it is almost impossible to get out if it’s busy- you have to rely on someone to LET YOU OUT but bc this is TN they never do. I sadly won’t be going back, which is a bummer because...
Read moreThis is one of the worst Aldi locations I have ever been to, but unfortunately it’s the closest one to me so I keep giving them my money. The stuff is relatively affordable compared to other grocers like Kroger and food city, but still way overpriced for how poorly this location is managed. They’re consistently out of key products like meats and produce, and what produce they do have is either expired or moldy. The meat has been bad before the purchase date often enough that it’s annoying. The staff are also more terrible than usual - Aldi employees are known for not giving a flying raccoon about customers but these folks are rude and annoyed if you ever do have a question. I hope they get a competitor soon or a management overhaul, because...
