BEWARE!! If I could give a ZERO or BELOW rating, I would. Potential and current customers should be very aware of this disorganized, disheveled incompetent company. This company owned by Jeff Shaw, CEO said they could repair a broken beveled half-moon window that was 32" x 67". I took the window to them on January 13, 2020 and picked it up on January 14, 2021. It took them 366 days to complete. I went for months and months with no contact from anyone. If I hadn't sent Jeff Shaw the email below demanding my beveled window, a refund or threatening to contact my attorney, I would still be waiting. This company withheld my deposit of $1,797.60 for over 8 months with little or no update on the progress. When Jeff Shaw responded to my email, I requested that at least he should deliver the window to my home but he refused to even do that after a year of waiting. When I picked up my window yesterday, I was appalled that Jeff Shaw did not even come to the 'showroom' to apologize for the inadequacy or even help with processing some type of invoice for the remaining balance of $1,797.60 that took over 20 minutes to generate. He let his employees bear the brunt. I paid a total of $3,595.20 and Jeff Shaw did not even have the courtesy or guts to face me personally to apologize. That is cowardice. This individual is a total disgrace to business owners everywhere who actually care about their companies & employees. Below is part of the email, I sent to Jeff Shaw, the CEO of Kokomo Opalescent Glass. It does not detail the past year's documentation of the numerous dates of unreturned phone calls and voicemail messages. It is as follows:
"I am writing this email as it has been exactly ONE YEAR TODAY since I dropped off my broken half-moon beveled window to Kokomo Opalescent Glass. I have dealt with many companies over the years and I have never dealt with a company that had such poor, poor customer service. Having my own business, Masterpiece Gallery & Framing that was located close to Keystone at the Crossing in Indy a few years ago, I prided myself in giving my customers the ultimate in customer service no matter the amount of money they spent. You sir, and your employees are devoid of any resemblance of customer service. I have listed and documented below the actual dates of phone calls and emails sent to your company. Maybe after reading it, you will understand why I am upset with you and your company. Also, if I do not hear from you by Wednesday, January 20th, I will call my credit card company and dispute the charge of $1,797.60 applied to my Visa on May 11, 2020 and I will also get in touch with my attorney as well."
In conclusion, to all those who will read this Google Review, please do your research and find businesses who will actually care about you, your project and will finish your project in a...
Read moreThis is a five star operation and well worth a mini vacation visit. Take the tour, watch glass being made, sign up for classes, and then be amazed at what you can make. I've made beautiful stained glass whales that I recently decided to place in a backlit aquarium. I am currently working on a seven foot bronze and Kokomo glass sunflower I will "plant" in a boulder in the backyard. I first visited KOG out of curiosity rather than any real interest but now consider this place to be one of the somewhat unknown little jewels of the Midwest. A visit is well...
Read moreMany years ago, I saw in the newspaper that the glass factory was a great destination for a day trip. My husband and I took our eight kids and had such a great time! It was thrilling for the kids to see the molten glass come out of the furnaces and poured. The whole tour was a very fun memory for us. Yesterday I took a group of ladies to get to enjoy this experience again. Our guide,Abby, was so interesting as she shared the history and present day work. It was just a great experience to be there. We all went away from it, so glad that...
