The Jungle Mexican Cantina & Handmade Tortillas — Restaurant in Kokomo

My husband and I are trying out some new restaurants in our area. I have been craving a chicken burrito for several days and I talked about it so much that my husband also wanted one by the end of the day. So we tried The Jungle.

The server was attentive and kind with a sincere smile. I ordered a peach margarita and it was lovely. My husband and I both ordered a wet chicken burrito and they came out quickly. 10 minutes maybe? The thing was as big as your head! Covered with a tasty queso and red sauce. It was very good. Not too overpowering and very nice to look at.

It was so big that we both took portions home.

The music was playing but not too loud. If I had to complain about anything at all it would be that we were served tap water, or filtered water with a filter that needs changing :)

Not a huge deal. We will be back. They have other stuff on their menu that we want to try.

The Jungle has quickly become a favorite of ours! Every dish we've tried has been fantastic, a welcome change from places where only a few items shine. Their homemade horchata is a must-try!

What truly makes The Jungle stand out is the exceptional service, particularly from our server, Ernesto. On our first visit, he expertly guided us through the menu with his enthusiastic recommendations of the quesabirria and al pastor tacos, both of which were outstanding. We trusted him again on a subsequent visit, and his suggestions of the garlic shrimp and carne asada were equally delicious.
