Truly one of the best experiences of my life. I don't regret a single moment of my trip. (Men's lightweight backpacking Wind River Range) Arrived a perfect stranger and left with 11 brothers. Many of us men get caught up with work and family (good things) and this sort of activity and time commitment may seem irresponsible but I would not be to quick to discredit the impact a trip like this can be on your life. There are precious few times in our busy lives where we get the time, solitude, and freedom of distraction to truly connect with our maker and other men. We build fences, defense mechanisms and coping mechanisms in life that are hard to see and identify in the motion of life. While those things may sometimes be necessary, they are more often in the way of us becoming who God wants us to be and who our community needs. Pray, talk to the important people in your life. I participated in the Grand Canyon LightWeight Backing Adventure with guides Adam and Leslie who were very knowledgeable, experienced and kept us having a good time throughout the trip. I am so thankful for this organization guiding me to have an outdoor adventure when I would have been apprehensive to do something like this all on my own I had so much fun being in the outdoors for 5 days straight! My 2 sons and I went on the Father/Family 7 day 6 night trip last week and it was an amazing experience. This was something I wanted to do with my kids before they started their senior year of HS to allow us to grow closer and continue to develop our faith together. Our guide Andrew and his daughter Izzy did an amazing job leading our group of 12, his energy is unmatched. This trip was not an easy one but well worth the effort to see and experience some of the most amazing places I have ever seen.
