Nike Clearance Store - Laredo — Attraction in Laredo

Laredo should consider itself lucky. There are only less than 20 “NCS” stores in the entire country. The rest are either Nike Factory (“NFS”) with overstock from the actual Nike stores with premium, newly released merchandise but still sold at almost near MSRP. Nike Clearance Stores, on the other hand, have products that have reached the end of their lifecycle and any unsold product gets priced at quite a hefty discount. That means you still get quality, authentic Nike gear for a lot less and not risk purchasing UA or fake gear like you’d risk at a third-party or mom-and-pop shop.

With that being said, you’ll never know what you’ll end up finding with their inventory, and they are always getting shipments at least twice weekly. I’ve been able to find a pair of brand new sneakers for $40 or less (not including any additional outlet/storewide % off discounts). Some are even worth a quick flip; I found selling for almost triple or more on markets like StockX and GOAT while searching them on my phone. In one instance, a pair of sneakers that cost me $22 with tax after discounts ended up being sold for $130 on StockX before fees. Not saying you’ll find much luck frequently with a flip like that given the out-of-cycle nature of the items they carry, but there’s always that one needle in the haystack once in a while.

I called this store late on a Thursday night looking for a specific shoe style and size. We needed it for a client in Austin for SXSW by the next morning and the Laredo store was the only one in Texas with it in stock. Carlos and Javi were FANTASTIC to work with. I was calling from Minneapolis and they were able to work with me to do a special purchase over the phone. Carlos went the extra mile by staying past the store closing to make sure this all got settled and they even offered to cover the cost of overnighting the shoes to our team's hotel in Austin. I was blown away. We ended up needing to schedule a courier to pick them up in Laredo and drive them to Austin the next morning and Carlos was at the store at 6am to handoff the shoes to the courier. I've never had such amazing service and cannot thank Carlos, Javi and their district manager for going above and beyond in customer service. I only wish I lived closer and could thank them in person. Sometimes the staff are problematic. Too lazy to do exchanges the correct way even when asked and will chose to argue rather than help you. Specifically , will not hear you out but will keep interrupting when you answer their questions rather than help. Some just act like you are bothering them. Some staff are very good but you never know when you will get the one cashier who wants to preach to you or argue a hald baked argument rather than look up a return on your credit card.
