Love everything about this park... other than a weird tendency for parents to not watch their kids. Been here dozen times and each time I find myself having to police kids running amuck while parents chat among themselves. Usually older kids (9-10 yrs old). And I get that kids that age don't need to be hovered over, but they still need to be monitored. Today there was a group of 6 girls all climbing in, over and on top of the tube slide... Almost kicking other kids in the face as they came down the slide. They also left their shoes and socks all scattered around at the bottom of the slide, leaving other kids to trip all over them. Their moms? Sitting on the bench taking selfies. I know there are parents at every park not paying attention, but speaking anecdotally, there seem to be more parents of older kids who are distracted a lot more (or for a longer period of time) than at other parks. I imagine it's because it's more of a social gathering spot for the grownups too. Regardless... it gets annoying after awhile. Regardless of age -- parents need to keep an eye on their kids to make sure they're being responsible and respectful of others...
Read moreI love this park, it is beautiful. The walking/bike paths with the creek flowing throughout, the viewing areas and the cute little details make this a great place to put in some steps or take the kids for a nice bike ride.
There's a TON of space for your four legged friends to run around too!
In the afternoons when the sun goes down you get a nice show of colors. Bring a sweater because it can get a little breezy or the fog may linger in the morning...
