Took too long to get my surgery scheduled so I had to constantly get new referrals/letters
My original surgery, my wound opened up and I called them stating I was in pain before this happened. They dismissed my pain, saying it was "normal", without offering an appointment or an examination, despite me having surgeries in the past. I emailed them my wound stitches opening, and they ignored these emails.
I had to be forced hospitalized at a veterans hospital (against my will) and only then when on IV, did Crane Center do something about it (which all they did was send antibiotics). The VA doctors said I was going to die or they had to amputate my arm because Crane refused to validate my medical post-OP concerns. If I was not a disabled veteran, I would not be alive today simply because Crane can't bother to be responsible.
Post-OP to fix the damages and needing a revision, the staff blocked me from talking to my surgeon saying it "wasn't medically necessary" even though the surgeon called me too early in the morning while I was sedated to understand his instructions. Why is the desk staff telling me what's medical? Why block me from my surgeon who is responsible for the damage?
Years later, they discriminated against me being autistic and accused me of doing meth, due to my medication that I reported to them multiple times willfully. They didn't just outright accuse, no. They manipulated and gaslit me to try to force me to "admit I was doing drugs". They should be what medication can cause false positives and understand that it needs a higher concentration for that. Imagine accusing patients who take ADHD meds for doing drugs. Despite this, I still didn't get my revision.
I shouldn't even need to involve my insurance, the Crane center let me die, basically. They willfully ignored surgery complications.
They also yelled at me for other medical professionals making mistakes when they should've been talking to my support since I'm a disabled person. saying things like "you'll never be seen here again" as I'm having a breakdown and crying while having a panic attack.
Unprofessional and horrible clinic. Hates neuordivergent people. and...
Read moreMy partner received GCS from the Crane Center this last fall and the surgery was successful. The after care from Crane went from bad to worse very quickly; she was told in the hospital that her care could have been much worse and that her excruciating pain was just part of the recovery and relative. It was extremely upsetting to see a surgeon dismiss a patients concerns so quickly without giving the patient the benefit of a doubt after undergoing such a serious procedure.
The patient coordinator Valentina also really dropped the ball, she was not present from the pre-op appointment till reaching out 3 weeks post-op. We communicated this frustration of feeling forgotten and abandoned by the patient coordinator and the office manager offered to investigate what had happened and never followed up. The communication after leaving the hospital has completely broken down to the point where my partner asked to exit the Crane Centers' care which they gave a trite response of essentially "So sorry, Goodbye".
Dr. Jun is an incredibly intelligent and skilled surgeon but the organization from the office staff and communication is quite poor. Given the nature of their field of medicine, I had hoped there would be a higher standard of compassion and communication but at every turn we seem to be...
Read moreSuch an unhealthy group of plasticky surgeons foisting their ugly beauty standards on everyone. Their website would have you believe that they are the premier transgender center in the United States. We should chain them to tvs playing dragula. (What a benevolent rehabilitation.) First of all, the capital of US trans surgeries was in Trinidad, Colorado until that clinic shut down a few years back Look it up. Super sad. Back to this chop shop: This is in no way a premier transgender center. Or a transgender center at all. Just some plastic surgeons trying to make a quick dollar off of trans people! For goodness sake, they are advertising on Grindr explicitly stating that you should get to know the "real" you through plastic surgery. You are real and fully valid no matter what any pair of clown shoes says. Having undergone a gender reassignment surgery believe me when i say, I get it: For those of you who need to pursue surgery, please do you. But maybe consult with someone who actually cares about trans people and doesnt have a deep pocket interest in...
