Dragon Park (James L. Morgan Recreation Complex) — Attraction in Laurinburg

Wonderful park! I love this place. They have swings/tire swing, slides, large handmade xylophones, bridges, benches, tables, a large area for parties and celebrations, they even have a sort of water park splash pad for summer time! Not to mention most of the park is shaded by trees! I stopped taking my kids to parks in Richmond County almost completely because there is no shade at anytime during the day, which makes the swings and slides, rubber and metal components so hot that it actually burns the kids skin!!! That is horrible... So thank God for this park, and that it isn't to far from Rockingham! To all the welcoming people of this community, thank you for being so nice and inviting my kids and I to join in the festivities your community had on...

New to this area and took my little one here today. There is more to this park than just the video I submitted, but there is also further in the back, more playgrounds, a field and a splash pad. My teenagers would probably love it here too, not so much for the playgrounds ofc but for the field for other outdoor games and to walk the dogs and get energy out. I've only been to one other large park like this one but that was in Missouri, this one is very well fitting for kids at multiple stages of age. Bring the family for a cookout, have a birthday party or a small get together.. bring friends for a good hang out. Definitely a place I would tell others about for more public attention....

We came here a little while ago before they redid the park. I’m happy to say they did an excellent job. Anytime real wood playgrounds are replaced I’m always a little sad, but not having to deal with splinters and little kids is preferable. This is one of those parks, that’s really nice for moms with younger kids or a mix because there’s an enclosed area right next to the big playground and the bathrooms are right next to the park.
