Thought this would be a good enjoyable time because we usually go to the Lancaster location which is pretty nice so my dad thought to switch at the last minute horrible idea everything was fine until I notice a teen worker yelling and getting in my child's face I definitely had to protect my child and correct her action and let her know that was not okay she even said that she didn't care she said what she said I also spoke back at her and told her that this is my child and you address me not the child and she went on to tell me how she did not care and she is going to talk to him which was very inappropriate she was very aggressive and got in his face now if I decide to hit her based off of reflexes because she's in my child's face I would have been wrong but trust me I have the bail money she was acting ghetto and carried on to the point where a manager had to get between us a male bystander shook his head and told the little girl that she needs to get down the steps because she was dead wrong and he also mentioned that he probably would have did the same thing if she got physical with his child my child is 11 and autistic very friendly and look like a deer in the headlights when she started yelling at him imagine you're jumping and playing and someone randomly starts yelling at you he was very confused and this was very traumatic incident for our family now I have to sit down and explain to him about what happened because he thinks he did something wrong when he didnt she was very aggressive to the point where I had to get between her and my child she kept on mouthing off with her bad attitude I don't think this is the right job for her to deal with children if her patients is that short I really hope that they fired her the manager was awesome about how she handled it my child is autistic and even though she couldn't recognize that she still should not have gotten in a child's face I was very disappointed in her actions and very upset because she chose to get belligerent yelling and trying to have a screaming match with me so why her actions were correct the manager had to get between us and have her go to the back room she was totally out of line and based off of these reviews it seems like this place is a teenager zone ran by teenagers and also teenagers come here to fight that's based off of the reviews that I've seen in this horrible that they hire a staff that don't care about your kids and that are miserable you're supposed to have a positive attitude when you come to work not to cross the line and gets in a child face I do want to shine a light on the manager she handle it the best way she knew how to in the situation her name was Alaina she definitely stepped into action that's the only thing good about the situation. Being a mom with autistic children is very hard they should be able to go to places in the enjoy themselves this place is not autistic friendly at all or children friendly it's more for teenagers that's what it seems like and my kids are preteen.
I am going to call up there to see if they fired her because that is the correct action and I hope that's what they did to...
Read moreIf you're looking for a place where your kids can burn off enough energy to make bedtime a breeze, Urban Air Harrisburg is the answer to your prayers. As a mom of four with ages ranging from "barely walking" to "can we go yet, Mom?" finding a spot that keeps everyone entertained is nothing short of a miracle. Urban Air? Miracle achieved.
Teaching My 5-Year-Old to Fly Let me start by saying a huge thank you to the incredible staff for teaching my fearless 5-year-old how to fly. No, really—he flew on the indoor zip line, aka the Sky Rider, and I’m not sure who was more thrilled: him or the mom watching him zip by, giggling like a maniac (yes, that was me). He rode it again, and again... and again. Honestly, I lost count. By the time he finally stopped, I’m pretty sure he had started plotting how to install one in our backyard.
A Go-Kart Obsession My 7-year-old, who has special needs, found his happy place on the Go-Kart track. Watching him behind the wheel, grinning ear to ear as he zoomed around like a tiny Mario Kart champion, was pure joy. This kid could go round and round all day, and honestly, it was such a gift to see him so engaged and having fun in his own way. Urban Air gets major bonus points for attractions that meet the needs of ALL kids.
Even the Tweens are Happy And then there’s my oldest. You know the one—10 years old, world-weary, and "bored" before we even leave the house. But even he couldn’t find a single thing to complain about at Urban Air. Between the ropes course, climbing walls, and epic dodgeball games, he had so much to choose from that he was actually too busy to roll his eyes at me. Victory!
Toddler Approved Let’s not forget the tiniest member of our crew, my toddler. Urban Air even has areas just right for her, like the Tubes Playground, where she could climb, explore, and slide to her heart’s content without being trampled by her older siblings. It’s not easy to find a place that can accommodate the full range of my crew’s energy levels and interests, but Urban Air nailed it.
A Family Favorite Urban Air Harrisburg has officially become a family favorite. It’s a place where everyone—from my thrill-seeking 5-year-old to my too-cool 10-year-old—can find their own kind of fun. Even I managed to sneak a moment to sip my coffee in peace while watching the chaos from a comfy chair (let's call that the real MVP of the experience).
So thank you, Urban Air, for giving my kids the chance to fly, zoom, climb, and tumble their way to a great day. We’ll be back soon—because bedtime after an Urban Air visit is practically a gift from the parenting gods. If you haven’t been yet, grab your Urban Air socks, pack the kids, and prepare for an adventure they’ll be talking about long after they’re tucked into bed (and snoring...
Read moreThis is based solely on the HARRISBURG PA location. This is a long one so buckle up.
I’d love to give a great review because there is potential for this being a truly amazing, family fun place. The 50% off adult pass is absolutely wonderful. No fee for anyone not playing is great! But the Harrisburg location just is not it. MOST of the staff were very friendly and helpful, others just didn’t seem to care to be bothered or enforce any rules. Cafe was a joke, at least for our order. 20+ min wait to receive food that was just sitting there so of course it was cold. Kids running around and into others.
Now to our biggest disappointment…
THE GO KARTS ARE SO MUCH FUN BUT BEWARE!
There’s “rules” but what good are they? There’s to be no bumping into other karts or the sides. It’s bound to happen here and there, obviously, but my daughter and I had a couple of kids hit our kart, we heard them hit the side, they stayed right on us and still tried passing on the inside of the turns. Not once did we hear anyone yell for them to better control their kart. Maybe more just an annoyance to us, but don’t make a rule and then not enforce it.
Also, the lines. Pure comedy. The go kart lines are split, one for single and one for tandem. we did see someone in the tandem line get told to go to the single line. But then we encountered two or three pairs being let in from the SINGLE line, as we waited and waited in the tandem line. This action was called out by another staff member. We appreciate him! Small children (too short to drive on their own) in the single line. They may not know better but where’s the parents to guide them? Our last go round, two kids blatantly cut in line. These were maybe 12-14 year olds. They knew they were in the wrong because they’d get quiet and stare at us anytime we tried to speak to each other. They got to talking about the fights they’d been in, getting kicked out of school, just being loud mouth punks. Some of their friends came over to talk and they briefly discussed having them cut in line as well. My daughter is 10, and these kids had her so uncomfortable especially once she heard them say they were going to fight in the ball pit. It was hard keeping my mouth shut but again, they were children. What a fine line to walk.
PARENTS NEED TO DO BETTER first and foremost, but Urban Air PLEASE just take better pride in ensuring a safe and fun place for ALL of your customers. “We’d need to have more staff”… possibly, but better training and stricter expectations of your current staff...
