Me, mom and my sisters went on July 28, 2016 and this one is definitely not one of my best experiences; that's for sure. When I was skating and I lost my balance, there was a boy (he looked about middle school-aged, in between 11-13 years old and he was a big kid) and he was laughing at me when I lost my balance and fell. And when my mom was skating, I saw the same boy that fell on the rink and was crying. Also, the bathroom was gross and only one toilet was clean. The other two were full of toilet paper and one of them was unflushed with pee and there was toilet paper all over the stalls and you had to go outside to wash your hands! There was also no water from the water fountain cuz it was turned off. I also did not like the music, which was rap and some of it might have been inappropriate for young children! But there were a lot of black people that are all about the rap there (I apologize, I don't mean to be a racist!) And when we were leaving, my mom got me in trouble cuz I was smart-mouthing her when she was about to call me something I don't like to be called (Becca) (And I don't want any of you folks calling me that either so please call me Rebecca.) So if you wanna go to a place run down by people that don't care about your concerns, be laughed at by an in your face-type middle school boy that will rain on your parade and you wanna use a gross bathroom, by all means; you will love this place! But if you don't want any of this dreadful stuff at a fun-place, I recommend K1 speed in Duluth in the Publix shopping center on Pleasant Hill road (across from Joe's Crab Shack and there is a Wendy's in that parking lot), which is 10x better! I'm so not impressed with this one. Overall rating (numerically): 1/5 Letter grade: F-! If you are someone with in-your-face attitude or you can't get enough of that kind of behavior, trust me, you will love this run-down and outdated facility, but for me and the good guys that oppose rotten behavior, do not come here!!!!! We like K1 Speed 50x better!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This place needs to be torn down completely!!!!!!!!!! Update 10/12/16: Duane Glass has posted a review saying that the bigger and unruly kids make it less enjoyable for the younger children. I hadn't returned back and I NEVER will. Obviously, there are rules and there are some people with an in-your-face attitude that don't even care about rules or even respect. Also, when the water fountains were turned off and we told the management about, guess what they did about it; NOTHING. Not to mention that some of the music they play is some of the worst (Jason Derulo: "Whatcha say"), which is one of the worst songs of all time. Needless to say, I won't go back. There are rules and we need to follow them and one of the main rules in the real world is RESPECT. I am very dissapointed in the management and that kid I was being harassed by. This is...
Read moreI booked a party for my 9 yr old grandson today. The kids had a good time for the most part, but there were a few problems i’d like to alert parents to. Shoes are not taken when they hand out skates. My granddaughter’s expensive nikes were stolen from under the party table, and a cheap pair of black shoes were left. The party table was in a separate room, with a hostess, so we weren’t guarding our things. A gift nintendo switch card disappeared from the party table. When we left the party room and sat down in the general area, i went through his party bags, in which i had collected the gifts from the party table. It was gone. My 3 yr old granddaughter had received the party arm bands(laser tag and skating) when we arrived. She was only interested in the playground, so my son stayed with her there. An employee blew his whistle at her, saying my son had to pay for a plaground armband. My son told him we were with a party, and she wasn’t skating or playing laser tag. No, he had to pay. So, we went to the manager(Marcus). He said the employee was only doing his job. I said why didn’t he just take her other bands, and give her one for the playground? Marcus said he didn’t have the authority! Only the manager can do that, and that 3 year old’s DO play laser tag! That is, our 3year old was trying to cheat the system by pretending to be at the playground, but sneaking off to play laser tag when no one was looking. He finally said he’d give her a playground armband. The last issue was the cake. Usually, the hostess cuts the cake, leaving it at the party table. But i noticed the cake was gone. I asked the hostess. She said they keep it til we leave. Somewhere i couldn’t see. Oh. When we left, we were looking for stolen shoes and gift card, so we didn’t remember the cake til we got home. I bet they keep a lot of cakes that way. Better for me not to have it, but the kids were disappointed. My granddaughter’s birthday is next month. I had intended to have her party at sparkles. But i’ve never had these problems at sky zone, stars and strikes, skate country, etc. I like to have parties away from home for LESS...
Read moreIf I could give this place zero stars I would. First off, the window at the front is very hard to hear the kids speaking. When I asked your employee if they could repeat what she said she rolled her eyes and just huffed and puffed. Already very rude when I simply asked if she can repeat herself. Second, I purchased the little helpers for my daughter and the girl forgot to give it to me, so when I asked the boy at the prize area he tried to charge me so I told him no I already purchased it. I guess he had to ask to make sure but the girl again rolled her eyes and said ““whatever just give it to her” if that’s how you run a business with rude teenagers they will definitely run out your long time customers. I then ordered food from the food area and there was a misunderstanding with my order but girl helped me but she just needed her manager to refund me the money. Not a problem, the real problem is that they couldn’t find their own manager and I simply just wanted the refund for the order. They’re calling her on the intercom some of them even pulled out their phones and called. Once she finally came in first of all she came back smelling like marijuana, so I asked her if she was one of the managers because I needed a refund. I also asked if there was anyone hire up here because I wanted to talk with them about the girl in the front because first impressions are everything in a business and on top of that I could not stand the smell of that near me. You would think that this would be a drug freezone but I guess not since your manager is smoking outside. If this is how y’all like to run a business then you can definitely kiss my money good bye. Y’all allow your employees to be rude and allow your managers to do drugs on the property is ridiculous! I asked one of your employee their name and they said jamie or jasmine but this will not be tolerate. This business ought to be ashamed of...
