Fox Gifts & Crafts — Attraction in Lexington

The owners are incredibly disrespectful and have profiled me on numerous occasions in the store. Some how when I am in the back where the ribbon is, they are suddenly back there walking around and if they’re there in the store on some days, they almost never let any other staff member check me out at the register.

I run a small business that specializes in custom wreaths, often times I have to make returns or exchanges because the customer changed their mind about what they wanted in the wreath. It is not my money being spent and I’m not willing to tarnish my relationship with my customers because I wasn’t able to pull something together like is stated in my mission statement.

The owner, Tim accused me of trying to scam his store by switching out ribbon. Mind you there have been several times where I’ve gone in and the prices and tags of the same ribbon have not matched and I’ve had to bring it to the attention of the workers. I’ve also been told that they’re not always sure of what comes in their inventory, nor do they have a sold way of keeping track of it. I had instances where I’ve purchased a ribbon one week and have gone back to get more and they’re out and when I ask if they have anymore the answer is almost always, “I don’t know.”

I have been a very loyal customer and have turned several customers and friends and business associates on to their store, but I will be telling them and everyone else not to go there for now on unless they want to experience profiling...

The store is a complete mess, very disorganized. There were even pools of standing water in the back on the floor, which concerns me... definitely be careful when walking around in the back. I went in because I saw things online I wanted and was actually going to place an online order then saw It was local so I decided to go there instead. Well... I can tell you the prices on the website is a lot lower than if you go in and want to purchase, some are way off, like even double or triple the price of the online quotes. So do it this way... Order online and do a pickup. I will say this... they had my order ready very quickly and they were friendly, but definitely order online if you don't want to pay a fortune. The upkeep and the complete mess, and the standing water in the floor is why I only give it 4 stars, other than that it's a good place to get ribbon, which is what I was...

I went to Lexington to drop off an order and inquired if there was a craft store. OMG, I was so excited when I went in. They have so much mesh and ribbons, signs. Mostly everything you need for crafting. I thought flowers selection could have been a little better. If I had been by myself I could have spent another hour in there just shopping around. I would have liked to seen more wreath forms selection but other than that I was pleased. It is definitely worth the drive to get there. It’s50 minutes from me however I will go back again by myself.
