Lexington Skate Park — Attraction in Lexington

This should serve as a model for other cities! This park has an excellent layout, a near flawless surface, lots of options for any skill level, and plenty of parking. While I'm a new skater, I've spent the last year hitting parks across NC, Tennessee, Colorado, Arizona, Utah, and Kentucky. Lexington (NC) has honestly built my favorite spot yet due to the variety of run options for an aging but eager newbie.

Charlotte should be embarrassed by their lack of options when a town the size of Lexington can deliver such an absolute gym (and not charge skaters to use a tax-supported amenity).

(The only issue: the onsite bathrooms may be a huge perk, but they weren't open while we were there from 8a-10a on a Monday. If you're going to expect skaters to respect the posted operating hours, you need to do the same and open access to facilities during those...

The park is great. Although I dont think parents should get mad for a rider telling their child to pay attention. Two fathers ganged up on me because their child wasnt paying attention and ride his bike right in front of me,causing me to fall 6ft. to the bottom of the ramp. I MEAN COME ON,DIDNT YOU TEACH YOUR CHILD HOW TO CROSS THE ROAD?SAME RULES APPLY!!

That means you'll get mad if someone hits your child with a car because you couldnt be a parent and teach them to watch where they are going.im also a father and my child stays home when park is crowded so he doesnt bring harm to himself or others. Its called common...

It's ok. I don't skate. But I love to see scorpions, popsicles, and wipeouts 🤷‍♂️. I think that they shouldn't have used that area however. Maybe somewhere else. Radcliffe Park was once a memorable place as we once called it "The Big L" which was a swimming pool in the shape of an L. It used to be so much fun and many memories were made.
