Light Park — Attraction in Liberal

The past three times I've been at the park with our grandkids, we've found several dead animals at least two of the times. Four birds, a squirrel, and a frog. Just seemingly dropping dead out of the trees, even the frog was found at the base of a tree. We visit most of the parks through out Liberal, and I do not recall but a few birds else where over the siding abs dinner months. Curious as to the cause. Environmental or predatory? Not certain the desk attendants at Liberal Parks and Rec would take my inquiry seriously. Guess I should give them the...

Light park is in Liberal Kansas. There is a water slide there for you and the kids to cool off in the summer. Also in this park is a stage with electrical outlets, volleyball nets, grills, basketball court, and even a skate board rink. This particular picture was taken in the gazebo which has a fireplace. A really nice park for cookouts, picnics, and relaxing on a blanket. Plenty of tables and grills. Oh yeah, two working restrooms at each end of the park with two separate play areas (swings, monkey bars etc.)...

Stopped by this park on a road trip. We saw there was an event with the local minor league baseball team and a showing of the movie the Sandlot on a beautiful June evening. There is a fun little playground, plenty of open grassy space for kids to run and play, and covered picnic areas. The kids spent most of the time at the little pond that was filled with tadpoles and tiny frogs. Light Park reminded us how perfect parks like this are for...
