scheduled my appointment 2 weeks in advance to get an alarm/remote start installed. Dropped my truck off 10 a.m for a noon appt., for what was supposed to be a 4-5 hour job. They called @4p.m to tell me they had the alarm hooked up but they would not be able to hook up the remote start today. Turns out they were using the wrong starterkill bypass switch. So almost $600 later, all I have is a siren. Now I'll have to wait 2 weeks to get the starter hooked up. Obviously they don't understand the inconvenience of being without a vehicle all day while trying to find rides to drop off and Pick up... UPDATE.. FINALLY MADE APPOINTMENT FOR REMOTE START THEY INSTALLED IT IN ABOUNT AN HOUR WHICH WAS GREAT BUT ON THE WAY HOME I NOTICED MY RIGHT TURN SIGNAL AND DOME LIGHT WERE NOT WOT WORKING. OWNER BRENT PLEADED WITH ME TO LET THEM FIX WHAT THEY WRONGED SO I TOOK IT BACK FOR A FIFTH TIME AND THEY WERE ABLE TO GET THE TURN SIGNAL WORKING, BUT THE DOME LIGHT STILL BLOWS FUSE EVERY TIME I PUT A NEW ONE IN. THEY BLAMED ON MY TRUCKS WIRING WHICH IVE NEVER HAD ANY SORT OF PROBLEM BEFORE THEY TOUCHED IT. THE ALARM TRIGGER IS HOOKED TO THE DOME LIGHT VIRTUALLY RENDERING IT USELESS. SO NOW TO SET UP A SIXTH APP. HOPING THEY CAN GET IT RIGHT WILL IN TOTAL COST ME 250 miles in my 1 ton van at 11 miles a gallon just doesn't seem worth it. I was told my van was made in Canada thus the reason the bypass didn't work then charged me an extra $30 for it. Later, after calling GM headquarters to find out it was made in wientzville, Missouri Brent basically called me a liar by saying he finds it hard to believe that I was told that. Now with electrical issues I'm looking at buying a new van and all this was just a waste of...
Read moreI had a remote start installed in my wife's car here at Mach 1. She mainly uses it to start the vehicle when it is cold outside. I'm guessing she used it ten (10) times. Then she tried to use the remote start and it would not start. I called up Mach 1 to see if they could fix it really quick. I brought it to their shop. A guy came out and tried to get it working but he could NOT! HE SAID THAT I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. They could get me in on a day that was a month or so away!!! I'm a returning customer and I've brought at least four (4) of my vehicles there, maybe more. I have also referred many people to them over the past twenty (20) years. It should be easy for them to figure out THEIR MISTAKE. They called me a few days ago to remind me of my appointment. They tell me I have to plan on leaving the vehicle there and I can't wait for it because of Covid. I totally respect their concern with Covid and I sure as hell don't want to be around people either. I called back and got the answering service. I said I can't leave my vehicle there all day and I also need to wait for it, thinking it would be a quick fix. I also added to call me back and verify there would not be a fee to repair because their install failed!!! I would think it would last more than a few months!!! They NEVER CALLED ME BACK!!! I guess I am NEVER going back to Mach 1 !!! And I will never refer them...
Read moreWent to get a remote start up put in, 10am drop off. Call them around 3:45 just getting started on it. Call back 4:50 almost done. They call me 5:05 apparently they have had tech issues for the past hour. Remove the work they did, get refunded. Waste of 8 hours of my day!
I was told apparently I was the last appointment although I had to drop my car off at 10 am, tell your customers what time you will be working on their car around! The only thing they where willing to do was if I left my car over night to put in a different remote start in. It should have been a 2-4 hour job! Like come on if you can't even tell me there was tech issues at any point when I called about the car, What would make you think I'm going to leave my car over night.
Worst part is when I went to pick my car up I could see some guy explaining to a lady how her remote start works outside. Leaves me to believe they didn't even do anything to my car in that 8 hour...
