10/30/25: Comfort Dental Dr. Brent Mowery, Dr. Jeff Spiegel, & Dr. Richard Birke Did it happen? The card in the mail, maybe the email or text reminding you it's time for a dental checkup. I'm guessing you stared at it for a bit and thought, "hey, I'm not having any problems; maybe I can just put it off for a while. Or allowing your imagination to takeover and began imaging the outcome. And did you jump on the phone and make the call for an appointment? Well, you should have. I'm a patient of Dr. Mowery's and can tell you this dental office is looking out for your health and long-term wellbeing. My last few visits resulted in a quick step to the chair, an inspection, a minor cleaning and I was on my way. And now I know I have nothing to concern myself with. That's a relief. Consider this. Stomach problems can be attributed to dental care. Acid reflux, anyone? Also, it's common to have headaches with dental issues. Most don't even know their frequent headaches are caused by dental problems. I will confess; other than brushing and flossing regularly, I did not take care of my teeth properly. Meaning, I was not getting to the dentist. Then it happened. Dental problems. Once I began with Dr. Mowery, everything has been great, I'm now seventy years of old and keeping my teeth. I can recall my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins having dentures. Not for me. Take care of your teeth and they will take care of you. I'm making my next appointment. . . . . . . now.

Have your dentist maintain only the teeth would want to keep.
Root Canal! Hah! I just made you just shiver three times in your chair. However, that fear is highly self-exaggerated and with no valid basis. Most adults associate dentistry with television or movie portrayals. The Three Stooges, The Marx Brothers or Abbot and Costello; even a western or old comedy routine depicting the ādentistā holding the patient down with his knee while pulling a tooth with rusty piers. (Just divulged my age, did I not?) These are myths that need dispelling. Recently my dentist, Dr. Brent Mowery, prescribed a root canal for my aching molar. Since teeth do not regenerate nor suddenly heal themselves and I wanted to enjoy. . . .well, eating and offering the occasional smile, I was happy to comply. Okay, āhappyā is a strong statement. Considering I did not attend dental school and have no associated medical training, I think it a far better decision to defer to my dentistās recommendations where my teeth are concerned. After all, I donāt second-guess my cardiologist, either.
When you have the right dentist, he or she is working on your behalf to maintain your dental health. Moreover, your medical health as they are associated. At Comfort Dental, I had the good fortune of meeting Dr. Brent Mowery; a professional whom I know has my best interests at heart. Dr. Mowery shows compassion to any discomfort the patient might encounter, taking every opportunity to alleviate the anxiety and initial pinch by using a topical anesthetic limiting this discomfort. Isnāt that initial pinch is far better than a toothless smile or gumming your burgers for life? Therefore, I had my root canal and once the anesthetic wore off, I did not need as much as an aspirin for any residual pain. The process is quick as is the recovery. That evening, I dined without pain or fear of incurring further damage that would undoubtedly have occurred had I not attended to this when recommended.
So, as previously stated, have your dentist maintain only the teeth would want to keep. Itās your choice whether to have 3 or 4 teeth or a complete smile. Happy Dining!
PS: I have failed miserably to mention the exceptional support staff of highly professional dental assistants. They make the patient feel very secure and well attended at all times. ...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDr. Birkle has been my dentist for over ten years. That should stay enough in and of itself. I got to see him for the first time in three years.Yesterday and he took good care of me.I have a severe infection that we were able to see and has been making me very sick. And he instantly gave me what I needed to get the pain. And infection under better control to then get it, possibly either pulled or root canal. The woman at the front desk named sam. Was the worst front desk person I have EVER had to encounter with. SHE ARGUED WITH ME ABOUT SOME OLD PRESCRIPTIONS.I HAD GOT, WHICH IS NOT HER PLACE TO SPEAK ON. SPEAKING ON THE FACT THAT MEDICATION THAT I HAVE HAD PREVIOUSLY IS A DEADLY COMBINATION WITH MEDS, I WAS GIVEN. On top of all of that, when I had to keep calling, because my pain medicine did not go through and we had to get that figured out.She continued to argue with me.And tell me that she could not keep going to get the doctor when that is not true. And the doctor was able to get it done. And fixed with the other front desk woman who was understanding and very willing to help me because I was in so much pain and just needed my meds. She had the audacity to tell me that I cannot call back and do not call back were her exact words. And even have the courtesy to yell at me after I asked her why i'm sensing an attitude that is extremely terrible and complete disrespect towards me.And she did not take that well, because she had been blatantly disrespectful in speaking on things that she had no business speaking on. I will be calling higher up today or monday in regards to her behavior as this was completely unprofessional. And inappropriate. She did not do her job and continue to lie and say that the medicine was in process. And it never even was sent or received at the pharmacy and there were no issues with them.Filling itAfter the other front desk, lady fixed the issue. She was extremely extremely rude. And if it were my decision, she should be fired.Immediately. do not DEAL WITH SAM HERE AT THE FRONT. EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL AND INCAPABLE OF HANDLING A PHONE AND PATIENCE AT THE SAME TIME. SO CLEARLY SHE SHOULD NOT BE DOING THE JOB.SHE'S DOINGI AM EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED IN HER APPROACH TOWARDS MY SITUATION.AND JUDGMENT TOWARDS ME IN REGARDS TO MY MEDICATION.HISTORY, WHICH HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HER OR ANY OF HER BUSINESS TO...

First Visit: Dr. Mowery is a true perfectionist. He and his staff are highly professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. Itās been some time since Iāve met a dentist who is this thorough. His dental hygienist cleaned my teeth to perfection. He used a combination of manual scaling and hydro. Which, usually with other dental offices, itās one or the other. My teeth never felt cleaner. Dr. Mowery took the time to discuss the health of my teeth and gums and any concerns. Most dentist rush in and out and then hand off to the hygienist. His talent and sympathetic bedside manner make him a top dentist for me. One of the best experiences Iāve had with a dental office. The amount of care he and his staff take on their...
