It’s so difficult to rate this place. It’s a great value but the owner is so consistently so unpleasant that I can’t imagine giving my money to her again. She has been unpleasant nearly every time I’ve encountered her, so much that I started sending my family to pick up my share so I don’t have to have to deal with her. I just don’t like someone giving me a hard time every time I come in to get my vegetables. Every time she’s complaining about something and it’s always the customer’s fault. She even posts her complaints on Facebook. Someone is taking too many tomatoes. Instead of wondering if she should move the sign to make it more prominent, she posts blaming the customers. Many many posts complaining about the customers on Facebook without taking accountability for what she could do if she is unhappy to improve things. That’s what it was like for me as a new customer, but in person. Every time I come in I’m doing something wrong, she gives me a hard time and blames me for it. It even became a joke in my family. I’d come home from the place and they’d ask “what’d she come after you about this time?”No sign telling me not to take a box, so I unknowingly take a box I’m somehow supposed to know not to take(even though she told me to take a box previously), time to make my visit unpleasant again. But literally every time I came in and she was there it was like this. It felt like she was watching me, waiting to come after me about something. And my family saw it too when they were there with me. But it’s a good value. I guess I would have renewed if she left me alone when I came to pick up my shares. Maybe she’ll treat you differently if you sign up. I can’t imagine she treats everyone like this or she’d have no customers. After posting this review, Jamie approached my family when they came to pick up the csa and told them not to return for the final two CSA boxes, for what I assume was supposed to be punishment for this review. According to my family she also gave them a letter asking me to take this review down as it was hurting her business. I didn’t read the letter, personally. She also continued to send me email after email and even mailing a letter to me house. I returned the letter and refuse to read the emails. She gave me a hard time at the CSA. I no longer attend the CSa and now she continues to attempt to bother me by other means. Even at my own home. It’s just creepy at this point and is making me very uncomfortable how the women is relentless. I would like to close by addressing Jamie: Jamie, if you don’t want bad reviews about your behavior, you behavior is what...

We have been a CSA member for the last year and have been shopping at SpringDell for many years. We now buy nearly all our groceries at the farm stand. We love the wonderful quality of their meat, produce, and all of the carefully selected products inside. Some of our favorite meats include their ground beef, Delmonico steak, lamb, pork chops, bacon, and new additions of whole chicken and ground turkey. Their produce is top-notch and we look forward to their lettuce, carrots, strawberry, potatoes, onions, and a host of vegetables that we would never try on our own but have grown to love! They source great products in the store including delicious fresh pasta and sauces, pizza crusts, spreads, crackers, cheeses and milks, ice cream, and many more seasonal items that we love. The shop has fun items and gifts like candles, soaps/lotions, potato chips, corn chips and salsa, cookbooks, chocolate, trail mix, pepperoni stick - it’s amazing how much they fit inside the store! But the real joy behind shopping at SpringDell is knowing that we are buying local, we know our farmer and her staff, and they know us. It really is a special place and we are lucky to have SpringDell in our community. I know people who drive an hour for their CSA pick ups as it’s a joy to be part of the program. In the summer we get to pick flowers, pick herbs, and join special events enhancing our community experience. The kids love visiting the animals in the back of the farmstand and we’ve enjoyed many and evening at SpringDell with food trucks and celebrations...

The best farm! I enjoy being part of the programs. Great variety of foods and specialty items. Kind and accommodating. Better than going to the grocery store, you can get all you need to eat thats healthy. Love the place! I take a day to enjoy a long relaxing drive and do my shopping at the Dell! You don't have to be a local to truly enjoy supporting an awesome farm. From dairy to produce, meats , and many specialty items . Other farmers that set up so you can buy sea food, poultry. Fresh made pasta and sauces.soaps and coffee and soo much more. This little family owed farm has all you need. They run events to become part of. Let you pick your own flowers, veggies and strawberries. Always a great variety of things to try. A Facebook group, shared recipes. Family owned and operated buy the same family for generations. This little outdoor farm stand has just expanded to a winter building thats very quaint and comfortable. They have won my heart and health. I just think its an awesome investment in them and healthy food for me. Makes shopping enjoyable. All meats are grass fed from start to finish. Can't say enough about this farm. Go visit take a ride, meet the staff and Jamie a young very educated farmer, learned from her grandparents how to make the land sing with love and produce the best quality food...

I've been a member of Theo's (formerly Springdell) farm share for nearly 10 years, and I can confidently say their produce is exceptional. From the vibrant spring garlic scapes to the juicy summer tomatoes and the sweet, nutty fall honeynut squash, everything is top-notch. Today, Farmer Jamie gave us a delightful surprise: an invitation to pick flowers from an acre of field that was resting from vegetable production. The sight was unbelievably beautiful and just another testament to the unique perks of being part of this CSA. Theo's consistently delivers quality and innovation in their farming practices. I highly recommend them—this is farming done right. Support local and enjoy fresh, delicious produce!

This has been our first year in Theo’s CSA program, and we couldn’t be happier. Every week all summer (and spring) we’ve gotten a veritable bounty of extremely high-quality, fresh, local produce. The variety within each share, and week to week, means we never get tired of any particular vegetable, and there are exciting new surprises in every share! There are special perks, too: I have enjoyed the members-only flower field, and brought home a new bouquet with every share pickup. Best of all, it is a unique opportunity to be more deeply connected to your food. Getting to chat with Jamie every week, I’ve learned a lot about what goes into producing such an amazing crop!
