There are probably not enough kind words in the English language that I can use to express how pleased I am with Nashoba Air & BoilerWorks.
After 2 failed attempts with other local HVAC companies I sent Nashoba Air & BoilerWorks a message through their website. Within a day I received a phone call from Jen to set up an appointment with a comfort consultant. Jen was my first impression of the company and you can tell she truly enjoys working there and was amazing to talk with. She scheduled me with Jim to discuss my options for a mini split system.
Jim arrived on time and was super fun to speak with. I think for the first 25/30 min we talked about sports, mainly the Bruins (my soft spot). Jim made the conversation easy for me to understand and provided a few options that would work for my home. Here is the amazing part, I received a quote before he left my home. None of this “we’ll send you and email with the quote in about a week” (and one I still have not yet received; though it’s only been 4 weeks). The price was inline with what I expected and signed right then and there. Jim said someone will call me to schedule the install and that they were about 3 weeks out. No biggie and understandable, it is July after all.
I then spoke to Jazlyn about scheduling my install. She said, “ we can be out there on 7/8 if that works.” I was like, “whoa! Did 3 weeks just pass?” She was able to get it scheduled in less than 5 days. Amazing!
Day of install, Antonio and his crew showed up right at 8am. We walked through what was going where and expected time for the job. These guys hustled!! They all were super friendly, very respectful, affective, knowledgeable, clean, and very communicative. While the electrician was here, (which they have in-house electricians - more awesomeness!) I asked him about having 30 amp service installed for my camper. Before he left my house I had a quote for the job in my email. Antonia and Dan walked me through operation of the units and answered any questions I had before they left, which was about 5 pm.
I would happily use and recommend Nashoba Air & BoilerWorks to anyone for their HVAC or electrical needs. You all are truly amazing! Thank you for doing an amazing job and being even more...
Read moreWe’ve used this company since we moved to the area in 2004 and cannot believe the unfortunate experience we had with them recently. One of our mini splits has been making a loud noise & inconsistently cooling our living room. They came out to provide an estimate. Cost us $90 for the visit and they made the commitment to get us a quote in a day or two, stating that the blower probably needed to be cleaned and adjusted. Weeks later & no follow up, my husband called them back and was told they’d need to schedule another service visit just to come over to get the model number and serial number of the unit. My husband insisted on providing it to them over the phone so we could avoid another $90 visit for nothing and get a quote already. An hour later, someone else from their office called and tried to talk us out of getting the unit repaired at all, claiming it would probably be pretty expensive. Yes, their literal advice was not to fix the unit heating and cooling our addition because it would be expensive. Insane - so we flat out asked them if they simply didn’t have an interest in servicing this unit. They backed off at that point in the conversation and less than 5 minutes after hanging up with us, we received a quote for almost $5000. This unit is less than 5 years old and was part of a home renovation so we called our builder who had done our addition. We told him the problem and asked if that price seemed correct. He confirmed our suspicions that this was likely an inflated quote to scare us off and he committed to putting us in touch with the company that had done the HVAC installation. The entire situation was super shady and unprofessional and now we have legitimate reservations about the maintenance contract we signed with Nashoba Air for the HVAC in the main part of our house. Can we trust them to provide reasonable customer service going forward? That seems uncertain. So after decades of looking to this company for our HVAC needs, the trust is broken and we’re sad to say that we’ll likely need to look elsewhere for our HVAC needs going forward. Clearly customer loyalty isn’t a priority for Nashoba Air anymore. It must be nice to be that comfortable as a business in...
Read moreAfter shopping around for repairs for my 1996 steam boiler due to leaking pipes, landed on Nashoba and thank God I did. They were the first ones to actually walk the system down, turn it on, and start troubleshooting - in the first consult visit. Didn't charge me for the consult, despite actually doing work (like replacing radiator vents). Inspected the boiler and found some serious clogging and aging gas valve, pressurtrol, pressure sensor. Came back within a week to do a complete clean of the radiator, replace all the components, install a skim-valve for easier maintenance, and replaced some shut off valves that they noticed on the day needed replacement.
They stuck to the quote they gave initially, stuck to the timelines, and signed me up for their member care plan in order to give me a significant discount and obviously the peace of mind and annual service to maintain the system now that they basically brought it back to "new" condition.
They also didn't think it was worth fully replacing the pipes because the system flooded due to a faulty water feed shut off, and split the quote into boiler repair and pipe repair jobs, and told me to call if the pipes started leaking again, which they didn't (context: this was in Nov, made it all the way through the winter with no issues for either the boiler or pipes) which ultimately saved me 3k. Expecting I'll need to replace the pipes eventually, and fully plan on going back to Nashoba again (and again).
This is gonna be a cliche, but they seem to genuinely have the old fashioned small business customer service. Honest, fair, and genuine service from their techs and office. I actually felt like they were "on my side" trying to genuinely help me, rather than just make as much money as they could, which is extremely rare. Their techs took the time to actually explain my system to me so that I could 1. Understand it, and 2. Be able to perform my own maintenance and repairs (for what I'm capable of doing) that helped me through a couple pinches and will help maintain the longevity of the system.
Can't say enough good things, or recommend them highly enough. If they keep their business the way it is, you'll be just as satisfied as...
