Rose Lake — Attraction in Logan

This is my favorite place to visit in Hocking Hills. It is not well trafficked, which I like a lot. Every time I have been here, it is very quiet and peaceful. There is a rough foot path around the lake. You can fish on the lake, but you cannot use any type of boat with a motor. There are no restrooms or water fountains. The trail around the lake is not wheelchair or stroller-friendly. The parking lot that I use is on the opposite side of the road (374) from the trail entrance that leads to the lake, and it is labeled with a small sign that says "fisherman's parking" (I think...I honestly haven't paid much attention to the sign). This is the most beautiful lake in the area. The water is crystal clear. Most people don’t make the trek to the lake and you can benefit from that.

Parking at the campground is $3 and gets you closer, but the hill from that direction is a real PITA when it’s time to go back to the car.
