This place is awesome, really. It has a nice park where kids play, baseball fields, basketball courts, a baseball bating Cage's to practice, an amazing natural habitat area where geese, duck's, and otters live at, with a great view to watch them almost to where you could pet them, you are also given the option to pay for some feed for the little guys and gals to eat. The best part of this area is the zoo. I have to tell you all about the zoo, it's got a good amount of animals that I personally would recommend your kids going to see and receiving some awesome information on the animal kingdom we are not going to be able to see in the future, unless we can somehow save them. It's fun, it's educational, and it's a really amazing memory that you won't want to give up. If you and your family are not into watching a creature of our planet that you can't see anywhere else, a creature that you either wouldn't be able to make out with it's sneaking and hiding ability, or an animal able to hunt you down for food, sometimes without you ever knowing it was there. If you aren't going to get interested in that then you and your family might be more comfortable with going to the mall, it's understandable that a lot of people just don't want to be around nature anymore. Sadly it's because at the time and place. Seeing an animal locked in a room with nothing to do can be really boring, but it's not about what they are doing, it's about what they are capable of and the fact that you are able to witness what could be the last of the days these amazing species existence. They might not be around for too much longer, and I would hate to have to show my kids what a cheetah looks like over YouTube. I know some people don't care but I really highly recommend this to everyone, if you don't like this one really go to a bigger zoo, these are the days we will get to have this experience, are you ready...
Read moreThis park has two things going for it. One on the east side next to the zoo there is a playground almost always shaded. The second is the fishing pound. It is stocked with a variety of fish by the Utah DWR. This pound has lots of ducks. I like to take my boy to see. The downside to this pound is some of the anglers who access this natural resource leave their worm containers behind. This is horrible if you fish here. Please be a responsible sportperson and pack out what you pack in. If you are looking for a pond to set fish free to wild where they belong, this place isn't for you. Most likely those species fish didn't come from that pound or this state for that matter. If you want to play of game would you rather, I would rather people leave thier trash in the pond than their pets. Trash is a lot easier to clean up. It is also not a spot to drop off the duck that came from the ducklings you may have got your kids this past spring. If you are looking for a place to drop that duck off and remove all responsibly of taking care of that look no further than your crock pot. Roasted duck is pretty great and more environmental friendly than releasing your no longer wanted pets into the wild. If you wish to feed the ducks here get in touch with local DWR official and ask how you can help build the habit around this pond. Duckweed and watercress are native plants that ducks and fish love and gives them the proper nutrients they need to survive in the wild. The bread and other things you may want to feed them just makes them fat and unhealthy; in the worst cases unable to fly. Please don't give them your moldy bread. That can lead to...
Read moreI had 2-3 questions I had, so I tried going to their website but that didn't answer anything. So I tried calling them, but didn't help either. So I actually had to literally had to go visit them. The time I visited them, most people are at work & school, so it was quite & slow- which is OK. The last I talked to did answer my questions. My daughter want to come later & pet & feed the animals. My daughter wanted to come here for her 19th birthday. [This is the closest to going to a zoo since it had been years.] The lady I talked to had a smile & nice. She told me of other activities/programs that they had. She was kind & professional & everything you would expect. Sorry, I don't remember her name, but THANK YOU! You were very...
