📅 Date of Visit: 5/1/2021
💬 OVERVIEW - 4.50 This was a fun place to go for a little family outing. As we were visiting from out of town, our friends invited us to come along. It was a good way to kill around an hour.
🗺️ LOCATION - 5 Zootah is found tucked in the back streets of Logan there on 700 South. I'm sure with the use of a GPS or Google Maps you should be able to find it rather easily.
💲 PRICE - N/A Our friends insisted on paying, so I'm not sure the price, but I would assume it isn't outlandish.
🐦 PRODUCTS/SERVICES - 4 Well in this case, the products would be the animals. It was fun to feed the ducks 🦆, which bombarded us as we entered. They only had one thing on their mind: food. While Zootah is a zoo, I'd guess about 80% of the attraction are primarily of the foul nature, so if you're looking for any other exotic animals outside of birds 🦢, you'll be severely disappointed. All the same it was fun enough.
📢 POINTERS/PERKS - N/A You can purchase some bird food as you enter to feed the birds 🦅. The white bird 🦜, towards the gift shop will bop its head up and down if you do it, it is good at mimicry.
👩 EMPLOYEES - N/A Didn't really see any employees nor interact with any so...
Read moreWe were disappointed in our Zootah experience. We were here a few years ago. The price has since doubled and we didn’t notice any improvements to any of the exhibits since our last visit, other than one habitat that was currently receiving some gravel along the creek that flows through the zoo. We would be happy to pay more if it was reflected in the animal care, but unfortunately that did not appear to be the case. At 10:30 am most of the bird exhibits as well as the lemur exhibit had no water. It was 87 degrees out already. Many of the animals were hot, especially the eagle, and none of the exhibits had misters running or had recently been sprayed down. The petting zoo area also had a bunny and Guinea pig that were kept in really small boxes (wouldn’t call it a hutch) without any hay or enrichment. The box turtle was roaming with the tortoises, but other than a shared water dish, the box turtle had no place for soaking. Most of the carnivores had kibble to eat, and we really hope that does not make up the entirety of their diet. Overall, we didn’t see a lot of enrichment in any of the enclosures and think this zoo can and...
Read moreThis animal park is pretty well kept with a fair variety of things to see. Don't go thinking you'll find a full out zoo. This is a small town attraction that's great for small children. We enjoyed the petting zoo where you could meet a lamb or a goat. They even had bottles of milk you could buy a ticket and feed the goat/lamb. Several of the animals had signs posted to apprise us of feeding times which was entertaining to see. The animals we enjoyed watching the most were the lemurs and capuchin monkeys. Oh and the colorful tropical birds were cool as well. It was probably just incidental but the day we went, all the grass was roped off, including the picnic and many bench areas. There was no instruction or information given at the front to let us know why? That was strange. Ohh and the bathrooms are frightening. If I put more weight on the bathrooms... Those would get like 1 star. There was no toilet paper in the women's, and both the women's and men's smelled to high heaven. I laughed to see a "cleaning" check sheet being regularly filled out. Not sure what cleaning is being done but I would hold it before I went in...
