Easter Sunday at El Dorado Frontier – A Disappointing Experience (4/20/2025)
I want to share an unfortunate experience I had today at the El Dorado Frontier area of El Dorado Park. What should have been a peaceful Easter Sunday turned into a frustrating encounter due to poor communication and unprofessional behavior from the staff.
There was a man, seemingly associated with the Frontier, who was being unnecessarily aggressive toward anyone trying to sit in the tents nearby. First he fail to identify as an employee of El Dorado Frontier, until maintanance employees came.He was also agressive toward then.I was told by park staff that seating was "first come, first serve," never mention about any areas being reserved, which he also failed to communicate in polite manner. He is being confrontational with guests who tried to use it, to the point that he comes up to your face and you can feel his breath ewwww. At one point, he even threatened to call the police — to which I responded, "Go ahead."
What’s more disappointing is that the staff didn’t make any effort to clarify the situation or de-escalate the tension. He had the suppose owner on the phone. Their lack of communication and customer service left a sour taste. Based on this experience, I would not recommend visiting El Dorado Frontier, especially with children. It simply didn’t feel like a welcoming or family-friendly environment. It is very simple to communicate with people in a polite manner, identifying as an El Dorado Frontier and explaining that area belongs to them or taping it off to let guest know that area is not available. Also, when we first arrived the man was nowhere in sight it looked like he was coming from the bathroom. I will be filing a complaint with the Long Beach city council, and the Long Beach park and recreation regarding this matter, since all parks belong to our Long Beach Community and...

During the pumpkin patch season, we purchased tickets but my son got sick so they went unused. When we tried to use them again in between then and now, the train was down for maintenance. Today I went with the intention of paying full price if I had to. I asked the lady upfront if they could possibly honor these tickets for today. She said that it sounded like it could be possible but she didn't know how to ring it up in the system so she then called the owner up. When he came, she explained to him what my question was and he looked over at me like I was stupid and if it was a stupid question. Could've been a simple yes or no I'm sorry this is a special event which requires a new ticket. But this rude OWNER, with TERRIBLE customer service was looking at talking to me like I'm an idiot. I simply said "sir you don't need to talk to me or look at me like I'm stupid, you could say yes or no and if not I will pay the full price" but because I gave him an "attitude" he denied entry to me and my 1 YEAR OLD SON. Talk about Christmas spirit. I never once got loud, I did not cuss, I simply told him that he did not need to get disrespectful because I asked a question that seemed pretty simple to me. But because I stood up for myself he for some reason felt threatened and did not allow my son & I to enter the park. I have never In my life experienced treatment or a situation like this. Having to get my son in the car while he's kicking and crying because he wanted to go in and ride the train was the cherry on top. How a man could deny a woman and her small child entry after HE was the demeaning one is beyond me. I will never ever give this "theme park" my time or money. Shame on...
Read moreSave your gas and money! FALSE ADVERTISEMENT ON INSTAGRAM!!! They deleted the comments on Instagram as people were giving their truthful opinions and the owners removed them..... Place is as big as a strip mall parking lot.
It's not worth this depressing location that is run down with the energy of a place that has checked out. It is now a ticket system plus an entrance fee. (Spent over $100 bucks for an hour experience, 2 small toddlers and 2 adults..EXPENSIVE) They strong arm you to buy ticket packages that don't make sense. Either you under buy tickets or you over buy. It's about 35 bucks to ride the train with a family of 4. If you have kids, they don't ride for free. Only 12 months and smaller. You're better off going to Irvine or Griffith Park and actually ride a train worth the cost. The lady at the front was short and misleading telling us the trains were long rides telling us it was a 12 minute ride..... it was not even 6 mins. Maybe 12 minutes from the time you wait till you're off the train again. The props are run down, and there are a lot of open unfilled spaces, your train ride goes along the freeway, and some bushes to a small open field. Where you stop for a couple mins to get your picture taken with your phone by the conductor.
Try giving them a call before you go so you're not surprised. If you get the old lady from the front answers good luck, she's...
