When I first came to Natural Health Care Center I was depressed, tired, and not in good physical health. A theme that had been present for most of my adolescent life. Unfortunately the answer with most disorders like mine is to utilize medications and therapy which gets repetitive and is too broad. I am now 19 and have tried just about every medication to help manage my symptoms. Everyone I tried just didn’t do much for me and I knew I needed something more. I originally discovered NHC through their clinical nutrition program and was unaware of all the other facets of the program. As soon as I walked through the doors to NHC I knew I had found something wonderful. Those feelings were confirmed when I met with Dr. Proodian. Our consult was unlike anything I had ever experienced through all my years being involved in mental health care. We talked about all positive things and how we were going to improve my life. What made it different was that we were talking about holistic and natural ways to assist me. I also felt immediately that everyone involved in my care would be personally invested to give me a better quality of life. And finally it felt like a personal promise form Dr. Proodian that in a short period of time my life would drastically improve for the better. I attend NHC for physical therapy, clinical nutrition, acupuncture, and chiropractic services. The physical therapy has improved my lower back pain and made me stronger. I have also been able to get back into lifting with improved form since going to PT and am much more flexible. Clinical nutrition has probably been the most impactful on my life. When I started I was 285 pounds and over 30 percent body fat. As well as at risk for diabetes and hypoglycemic. I was tired all the time, lethargic, slow in athletics, and generally out of shape. In 3 months at NHC and with Dr. Coetzee I have lost nearly 30 pounds and about 6 percent body fat. I feel quicker in all the sports I play which makes me a better player. Losing weight has improved every part of my life. I feel more confident, more energetic, happier, and in better shape. I am more than halfway to my goal of 235 pounds and around 21 percent body fat. Acupuncture has made a big difference in my life as well. It has improved my anxiety and depression which allows me to think clearer. I also feel more relaxed in day to day life. And my mood has improved dramatically as well as the stability of my mood. The chiropractic services and massage therapy have dramatically improved my lower back pain. I am able to go through days pain free and feel more relaxed in doing everyday things. I am able to play basketball and feel better than ever playing it. Combined with the physical therapy I am able to lift again which I missed doing. All of these different areas of care each have their own benefits and each is more impressive to me than the next. NHC gives each patient a complete comprehensive and holistic approach to whatever health issues are present. NHC is unlike any care I have ever experienced and I love the natural approach. The team at NHC has changed the complexion of my life and my future. I feel 10 times better than when I started there and feel more confident in my bright future. My goals and aspirations feel more attainable than ever and the sky is the limit for me! NHC has done all of this in 3 short months. Natural Healthcare Center is my sanctuary and my peace of mind. I, together with my husband Paul, have been part of this amazing wellness program since this summer. Over the years I have worked with many professionals who tended to my severe spinal stenosis, back pain, stiffness of the neck and extreme fatigue - but no one has found the right approach until I met Dr. James Proodian. His knowledge and keen understanding of the way our bodies work as a whole, gave me hope and, in a few months, not only my spine health, but my entire life improved dramatically. The sweetest lady lives on my floor. Her son travels from Massachusetts a few times a month to be with her. He asked me who is my chiropractor, who would I recommend. I told him of Dr. Proodian and his Natural Healthcare Center in West End Long Branch. I was fragile after my ankle surgery both mentally and physically. I was isolated at home during much of my healing. When I was able to leave home I started my physical therapy with Paul at the Center. Going from isolation to very personal attention, Paul let me talk his ear off during therapy. I also receive lidocaine injections from Dr. Jenn. What an improvement in my healing. She is also a caring ray of Sunshine. This is a well rounded healthcare center. There is a nutritionist to consult with to offer plenty of vitamin therapies that are available there. Dr. Proodian and Dr. Kurt are both chiropractors. I have always been in good hands with them. My neighbors son will not have to worry while away from her. She will be in good hands with Dr. Proodian's Natural Healthcare Center. I am doing so well now with my ankle and my back that I enjoy walking to West End...
