656 Ocean — Restaurant in Long Branch

We feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to dine at 656 Ocean! The food and service were divine.

We started the evening with a hearty chicken noodle soup; tasted just like mom's! A kani bowl with fresh rice and just the right amount of heat was served so beautifully. At the recommendation of our wonderful waitress, Cynthia, we decided to split a pulled beef nacho dish and a chicken Francese (lemon)....it was almost too pretty to eat. But, oh, we did!! Best chicken we have eaten in a restaurant in years. The pulled nacho tacos were fantastic.

The cherry on top? The service! From Cynthia, our waitress to the entire crew, we felt like we were the only ones in the restaurant. They were patient, efficient, polite, and created an atmosphere of true hospitality. Thank you Beverly for managing such an incredible team and to the owners for knowing how quality staff, along with a fine chef, can bring culinary experiences to be full body experiences.

It was a night to remember. Thank you for an amazing memory and looking forward to coming back time...

Incompetent. Unprofessional. Inconvenient.

I visited Stingers Bar & Grill with a group of friends for a birthday celebration. We order and waited 15 minutes till our drinks were served. Our long Island Iced Teas tasted like sugar. A nice gentleman who appeared to be the bar manager happily made us new ones. They were mediocre at best. Fast forward close to a half hour later, and food is slowly and randomly being served haphazardly to our one table - by multiple waiters and kitchen staff. Much to my surprise, after all the serving and plate-handing was done, the table in front of me still remained empty. I asked where the rib steak I had ordered was, and was told "he forgot to put it on". I don't know who "he" is, but apparently he simply forgot to make my food. They offered to put my order through then, but at that point I had had enough and asked for the bill.

The incompetence and lack of service I experienced at this establishment is...

If I can give this negative a million stars I would. I was there twice. The first time we waited for six hours !!! We kept having to ask for the waiter or waitress when can we have the menus or some water or order drinks or order food. The food was cold and disgusting and stale. The whole place was unorganized and a HUGE disaster. We didn't get anything ! And when we kept asking for the manager the manager didn't even come at the end ! Then today we went there again after a year. We decided to give it another try. We had to keep asking for menus or utensils or for our drinks and for our food. It took forever ! This is just the short version ! Like the super duper short version. This place needs to be shut down...
