San Alfonso Retreat House — Attraction in Long Branch

San Alfonso Retreat is a wonderful place to get in touch with God The saying where God & the sea meet is a very appropriate statement.. The accommodations are wonderful the food good, and the whole program from start to finish. It is like the Holy Spirit is in the room with you. The setting could not be more beautiful the beach, the skyline, the Grotto, the cross, before you go to the beach breathtaking. Fr.Connor is a wonderful speaker and has a wonderful sense of humor. I happen to be on the June 5-7 weekend which Fr.Connor was celebrating 25 yrs of charismatic retreats and his 50th anniversary as a priest. This my vacation to myself every year.(3rd year). We had the wonderful playing of music and singing by Pat & Connie Costa. I am still on a high from it. Everyone should be able to experience this weekend. If you need spiritual renewal in your life this is the place....

I was recommended to go to San Alfonso's by a priest friend in 1980's when I was discerning a vocation to Consecrated Religious Life. I attended a Mid-Week Women's Retreat and met a Sister of Christian Charity who gave me information that set me on the right path to my journey into the Convent. I fell in love with the Redemptorists and their Spirituality. I try to go back as often as possible. They are my Spiritual Family and I cherish the Spiritual Bond that we share. I highly recommend this Retreat House for anyone seeking Refreshment of Body-Mind-Soul and Peaceful Spirit. Peace...
