Maude Cobb Convention Center — Attraction in Longview

Maude Cobb used to be a good all American facility that existed for all Americans, freedom, and the enjoyment of all. They have however, now, unfortunately decided to begin playing political games, kissing up to the political view of half the city,... while alienating the full other half of the citizens in Longview, Texas and the country. Those in charge, namely Sean Hara and many others, have made it plain that they are rejecting and offending half of their citizenry and boldly blatantly rejecting and black balling literally half of those that pay their pay checks. Maude Cobb used to be a place that operated according to mature professional normal business protocol, but now they have entered the arena of childish nonprofessional game playing in which they have chosen to alienate half the population they were trusted and hired to serve. Political pot shotting and pandering; like was practiced when Maude Cobb blackballed Ted Nugent, is not appropriate, is un-American and highly unprofessional. The 2014 4th of July event has become a joke of political proportions and tainted the entire reputation of a once respected city and facility. The staff of Maude Cobb is controlled by pandering, weak kneed, prejudiced, nonprofessional, out of control, immature people, ....or at least some, ...that make the others look really bad....to the entire...

Great Texas Balloon Race.

Thought I had written a review on this site last year about the Great Texas Balloon Race . I'm not seeing it here now . I did write on on the Longview exhibit center site , thinking it was the same . Maybe it is (?)? I really enjoy coming to the Maude Cobb Convention Center each year for the Great Texas Balloon Race . I have been blessed to be able to work with pilots on their chase crew . It's a little work launching and landing the balloon , but well worth the effort . Maude Cobb center is very gracious to host this event annually . My words are insufficient to describe what I enjoy about it . The best I can do is post photos and videos of these beautiful hot air balloons . Of course these photos are not all at the center , but they would be impossible without the sponsorship of Maude Cobb . There is a festival on the weekend with balloon glow and shaped balloons . I've always been satisfied when visiting here. Gai has always been a delight, and of great assistance. She has been promoted so I had to work with someone new. I only viewed another location which I was interested in holding my event, and had to provide needed information as I did previously. I haven't made any further decisions. I will say that Gai is a super friendly person who showed care and concern towards customers; she didn't have an attitude, was timely, and also helped you to get the best for your money. They truly have beautiful areas to meet your event needs great or small. Customer service is everything and they'll take...
