Burbank Peak — Attraction in Los Angeles

Awesome 🚶‍♀️ 🚶‍♂️ hike! If you want a little kick on your hiking this is it? #1) direction - its on wonder view drive lake hollywood. It's on wonder view. It is up hill, keep on walking on wonder view as the street number increase 3585, walk all the way until you face the black metal gate ( appeared locked & private property). Open the gate, it is beginning of the griffth park.

#2) it is very steep. I strongly eurge to bring two things a) a glove b) trekking poles.i have two dogs so I usually don't use the trekking poles but upon seeing utube,I brought poles. I am glad I did it. It really help ascending and descending. For glove just in case slidding & not toscrape your hands. #3) once you reached half way, the trail does get wider but still uphill.the trail does get better condition.it took me about 40 minuates, not bad.There was strong breeze which provided a comfort. An amazing view of the surrounding valleys. A climb that's not hard, but had good variety between flat and a semi-scrambly ascent. The top is wide and open, lots of room for multiple parties to experience and not get into each other's photos. A dog bowl is left there for people to use for their furry pets.

This year (may 2023) was exceptionally weired because not only is everything green, but the trail is actually semi overgrown, even despite the frequent traffic. There were two points where the trail was a bit washed out, but was still navigable. Definitely wear proper footwear, but thankfully none of the growth is...

This should be combined with the Wisdom Tree entry. It’s basically the same trail and view.

Steep. You’ll hike the equivalent of almost 50 flights of stairs in a short time frame. Pace yourself if your VO2Max is not great.

Footwear. Wear hiking or other shoe with good grip and support.

Bring at least 16 ounces of water. YMMV.

Little shade. Can be quite sunny.

Poles and gloves recommended.

Some semi-scrambling/scrambling may be required.

Water bowl for dog at top, please bench and lawn chair. YMMV.
