Feedback on Experience at Deeper Church

I hope this feedback finds everyone well. I wanted to take a moment to share my recent experience at Deeper Church. Approximately a year and a half ago, I had planned to visit the church with a dear friend, however, she unfortunately passed away, which led me to postpone my visit. Recently, I finally decided to attend a service at Deeper Church along with a fellow believer.

Upon our arrival, we found ourselves at the church early, only to discover that the first service was still ongoing. The ushers managed the entrance diligently, allowing only staff members to pass through the doors. When the second service was about to commence, we were seated in the front row by the ushers, despite our initial preference to be seated towards the back. As the service progressed, I couldn't help but notice the man in the green suit seated beside me, engaging in distracting behavior.

The worship by the Praise Team was truly anointed, and the sermon was great. However, towards the end of the service, the pastor encouraged the congregation to gather in groups of three, holding hands and praying for one another. As we followed these instructions and began to pray, a woman holding hands with us started to exhibit emotional distress( professional way to explain it). Leaning towards myself, breaking hands with the three of us. I prayed for her. The situation escalated when the First Lady signaled her team to intervened, attracting unnecessary attention. ( I was informed)

Despite my background in ministry and having respect for the leadership, the enforcement of certain protocols left me uncomfortable. Being unfamiliar with the church's practices and policies, I complied with the First Lady’s directive, emphasizing the importance of following instructions. However, the overall experience and handling of the situation made me question the instructions and expectation of the pastor.

Perhaps the pastors are not aware that people in the pews are authentically/purely anointed.

Subsequently, I was made aware of the First Lady's interest in contacting me, which I respectfully declined. I believe that mutual understanding and respect for individual differences are vital in fostering a harmonious environment within a faith community. It is my hope that future considerations will be made regarding the methods employed during congregational engagement activities. As I only followed instructions.

Regrettably, based on my experience and observations, I have decided not to revisit Deeper Church. I sincerely appreciate the opportunity to share my feedback here and hope that my insights can contribute to constructive reflections on enhancing the church experience for all attendees.

Dr. Matt and Dr. Nes, the senior pastors, exemplify outstanding leadership. My family and I immediately felt welcomed and a part of the Deeper Church family thanks to their genuine care.

I distinctly remember my first visit to Deeper Church and the powerful presence of God I felt. It was exactly the spiritual connection I had been seeking. The warmth and welcoming nature of everyone made it easy for me to quickly feel at home.

I soon became involved by serving on the security team and in other areas where I could contribute. Today, I am a proud member and serve as the Director of Security & Facilities. I believe God led me to Deeper Church to deepen my relationship with Him and to be part of a community of believers dedicated to studying His word and living according to His principles.

I’ve been in LA for 7 years, visited many churches and I never experienced anything like Deeper Church LA! The anointing that’s in and over this church is GOD!

From the moment you walk in, the greeting is warm and intentional and the worship is anointed. The Senior Leaders, Drs.Matt and LaTasha Nesbitt, are solid, genuine leaders and the oil is all over them! They are passionate about people growing deeper in their faith! The word is transformative and from God! They preach the Bible and give you scripture throughout the message and the atmosphere is filled with God’s presence.
